ARC 1 : Labyrinth City Orario

Awakening

*step step step*

It was only a while after dawn, the sun not yet appear in the sky. Yet here in the middle of forest, there was someone walking with only dim remain of moonlight. Not many people would awake yet at this time, but this man already on his way home from collecting herb to be made into potion. As he stepped to clearing, his appearance showed that he has shoulder-length dark blue hair, brown colored robe and brought many kinds of herb on his back. His facial feature could be called beautiful rather than handsome and cute. This also complimented by his expression which full of 'gentleness' .

'I hope I'll be home before Naaze wake up, or she will be complaining to not bring her along.'

'But even then, she is going to complain me for not wake her up and bring her with me.' Thought Miach as he sighed for his luck.

Miach is head of Miach Familia, which was one of the middle-rank familia, before he got into debt to Dian Cecht Familia for made silver for his Captain, the same thing caused his familia's downfall… 'no, it's all past, now we should focus to improve our familia' shaking his head from negative thought, Miach then resume his walk.

But less than five minutes, he felt something wrong. He focused and found that in the corner of his vision there was some clearing he didn't recognize. Miach already knew his way around the forest like the back of his hand, and area which should be densest part of the forest, now became clear of the trees.

Afraid something bad would happen if left alone, he went to investigate the new clearing. If anything gone wrong, he could run as fast as he can to the gate and get the patrol or guard. And if only if the worst happened, well he would come up with something about that later.

As he came nearer and nearer to the clearing, he saw some tree uprooted with their root faced against the middle point of clearing, which more akin to crater, but not deep. It was like someone blown something or invoked tornado, as the clearing area completely devoid of trees and grasses. Left only earth and something…,no, someone in the middle of that.

Miach waste no more time as he ran to the middle of crater-like clearing and inspect body of the person lie down there. The person had long blue hair with a hint of aquamarine shade. He looked like around 15-18 years old and even with face almost as cute as Miach own, but he knew this person is male. Why? Because this person only wore his birth suit.

After checking the boy of any injury and wound, he found nothing, not even a scratch. Miach thought it's weird to not injured when he was a possible victim of anything happened here. Hell, even he was the suspect, Miach just glad he's okay and just unconscious here, though he confused why this person naked in the first place.

After wondering what to do for a while, Miach let out a long and defeated sigh 'Naaza will surely scold me for this' as he came down to his knee and picked the boy up.

He dreamed of the star

He felt he should go somewhere quickly

He knew the urgency of the situation

Yet a little more before he arrived

A black hole appeared in the front of him

He didn't prepare to face accident like that

So helplessly, he was going straight to the hole and hoping for the best

Though, the pain, the power drained away as he protected his soul as hard as he could, or anything remaining of that, was not best in any kind.

The last thing he knew the pain stopped as he finally out from that one hell of ride and free fall to the nearest safe place

Only to found darkness came to him before he could do anything else

Warm…

The first thing came to his mind was how warm he felt his body is.

Then he heard someone speaking…

"And that's why you bought him here? Why you didn't call for the guard first kami-sama?"

"Well you know, I found him lying down in the middle of ground zero, even though he didn't have any injury or wound, he was stark naked. That time was just only a while after dawn, the air was still cold enough, so I ought to provide him shelter and some warm right"

Then he heard another voice with a familiar feeling. This voice, though different from the one he heard before. If the one he familiar sound gentle and soft, the other voice felt somewhat feminine and spoke at higher volume and a hint of irritation and… worry? Not sure about that.

"But that doesn't mean you just take a stranger here, even more so if you found him in a situation like that!? What if he the one who caused that?"

"Well I believe he isn't bad person…, I peeked his soul a little and, I didn't find any malice or whatsoever."

Although he no longer felt the pain, he wasn't strong enough to immediately wake up. He tried to muster any strength, but it was hard even just to open his eyes.

"But even though it's still not excuse to,-"

"Naaza, do you suggest I left him there alone?"

"…But…but…"

He felt somewhat dislike the current air. So, to break the situation up, he gave up tried to open his eyes and rather focused to speak anything to them.

"Naaza please understand that,-"

"Urgh…"

Only to came out as a groan. Even so, that was enough to catch their attention.

Both of them immediately turned their head to the person lying on the bed beside them. Miach was first to reach as he suddenly approached the boy to check his condition.

"Hey, are you awake? Can you hear me?" asked him in hint of concern.

But as the boy tried to answer, same as before, the only thing came out from his mouth only a groan.

Miach couldn't help but become feel more concerned about him. Seeing this, Naaza swiftly take over "I think he still weak kami-sama, let him rest first as we continue our discussion somewhere else"

Miach could only agree with his familia's captain suggestion and let the boy continue to rest.

The boy felt he should say something to them before they left, but as much as he wanted to do that, his body still felt so wrong so he just helplessly fell into slumber again.

The boy came into conscious, but at least this time he got strength to open his eyes. The first thing came to his view is wooden ceiling, with dim candlelight somewhat light the room.

"Do you feel better now?"

The boy recognized that familiar voice, as he turned to the source, he saw someone who has dark blue hair, smiled gently to him.

Feeling how his body bare, he found out the pain is no longer there, also he could gather more power as he simply nod to his benefactor.

"Thank heaven" Miach let out a relieved sigh as smile formed.

The Boy's eyes then wandered to inspect his surroundings. The furniture feels so unfamiliar to him, then again… what he compared to? He couldn't recall anything. Everything seems blank inside his mind.

Seeing his confusion, Miach grew even more worried, but tried to hide it with smile.

"I guess introduction in order, my name is Miach and here is my familia house. Oh, also I found you lying unconscious in the middle of forest when I was collecting herb 2 days ago."

"I see… then thank you for saving me"

"No no no, it's only common sense to help the one in need after all" said Miach as he scratched his neck.

"Well if I may ask, why were you there? Did you know why you fall unconscious?"

"I'm sorry but… I… don't know… I don't remember anything."

"Wha…."

Hearing Ryu's answer with troubled smile on his face made Miach agape.

"Don't you remember anything at all?"
Ryu then closed his eyes as he's trying to search anything from his memory

"… I think I might know only one thing…"

"My name… my name is Ryu"

Now Miach's turn to closed his eyes 'Being unconscious in the middle of nowhere… remember nothing but his name… and various uncertain factor is worrying for sure. But despite of everything, I still feel Ryu isn't bad person. Should I give him a chance or not…?'

"umm Miach-sama?

'Well whatever, Naaza will scold me again for sure. I just hope for the best then.' Miach then opened his eyes and looked directly to Ryu's eyes.

"Ryu I know this is so sudden but, do you want to become part of my familia?"

A/N : Well that's the prologue, somewhat inspired by many OC's and SIOC other story. I also read the LN version of danmachi a while back and after reading other fanfic, most of them either replace Bell as MC, become Bell party/familia, also has OC God or in some case, Loki Familia, no offense to the writer tho. That's why I go with Miach Familia. Miach himself, which has personality of not-so-beta-male-mc, actually kinda amazing as character to explore. Even his first appearance in danmachi, Miach give free potion to Bell, also don't forget even he doesn't get any major plot, his familia is also part from people who helped Bell when he run away from his pursuer.

Anyway, the next thing which confused me is which one I choose to be my MC? As I told in my profile page, I got many ideas and drafts but that's it. Just drafts collecting dust in my harddisk. So I went through my drafts and… idea just came struck to my mind, how about we take Ryu from BoF:IV?

As BoF:IV is one of first game I've played in my childhood and I also feel sad for very lack of fanfictions for that genre. Other reason I pick Ryu because his premise as amnesia person easily fit into story and mold him into Danmachi style, while retain some element from BoF itself.

Aside from Ryu, my other candidate are Robin from Fire Emblem, which shared amnesia element, potential to growth and hidden OP(?) abilities, then there also Sigma from Fate/Strange Fake as modern human also servant-in-making, and the list goes until ultimate OP character like Gilgamesh, which I immediately cancel because Gilgamesh has 2/3 DIVITINY, which will made the dungeon very oppose against his presence. Though I also think it will funny to see Gil bulldoze through with his gate of Babylon, but nope. Or maybe our loved/hated protagonist which can make projection of sword as his origin is a sword but also nope.

Also, before anyone tell me "Isn't Ryu also god/half-god?" I will clarify here so listen carefully.

Endless is not by any mean divine being. Yes, they are powerful enough to destroy city without any difficulty of perhaps worshipped by people but, they by not any mean a god. They powerful yes but they don't have DIVINITY that sign someone/something as a divine being. The closest thing they come to be is Dragon kind or Phantasmal beast in Fate world.

Anyway, before I continue rambling anything else which maybe (100%) annoy you all the readers, see ya in next chapter (if this ever updated). And it's time for me to re-read danmachi LN too…
