Breaking down
Janet's stormed out of the infirmary in a rage. She just lost another patent. This time it was bad, it was Jack. Tears stung her eyes but, she pushed them back, she refused to break down. Then she thought of the look on sam's face, teal'c tone of voice and Daniel's sad look. By this time she was outside of SGC, in the parking lot. It was in the middle of winter, snow started to fall lightly.
She looked up to the sky, it was dark and heavy with clouds I mean after all it was in the middle of the night. Janet rapped her arms around herself trying to keep warm. Janet tried to keep her mind busy with other things and not death. Janet then moved her hands to her sides, and both hands turned to fists, she looked up to the sky again but, this time she screamed. She screamed until her breath ran short. Then she found herself needing to hit something, she shut her eyes tightly closed until the need pasted.
Tears streamed down her face, she had given up. She rapped her arms around herself again as sobs shook her body. "Janet?" she heard a voice from behind her, it was Daniel. "What?" She snapped. "Sorry," she then said, "I just feel so stupid!" she then exclaimed. "I just can't do it anymore." Janet said as she began to sob again. Daniel didn't say anything; he just walked over to her and pulled her into a tight hug. "You're freezing." Daniel said. She just continued to sob until her tears ran dry. "Sorry." Janet said as she pointed to his now wet shirt. "It's alright; Jack's death isn't your fault." Daniel said, and Janet looked up in his sky blue eyes. One side of his faced shaded with shadows the other side draped in light due to the SGC outside lights.
All of a sudden she had lost control of her body. She rapped her arms around his neck and brought his lips to hers. The kiss was soft but forceful. It spilled emotions, which Daniel kept blazing in his heart. The kiss ended and they were both breathless. "Sorry, I just don't know what came over me." Janet confessed. "Oh, I don't mind, when ever you feel like kissing someone, please come to me." Daniel said as he looked up at the sky. "It's like the snow will never stop falling." Janet said causing Daniel to look back at her.
In his eyes she looked like angel, snow was landing in her hair giving her an angelic look. Daniel brushed the loose hairs that have fallen in her face away. "Don't blame yourself for what happened. It's not your fault." Daniel said gently. "I just feel like it is." Janet said, then she said, "I feel soo stupid, for breaking down like this." Janet admitted. "Don't be, it's good to let it all out sometimes, it's not good to hold it all in. Come on, it's freezing out here, let's go inside." Daniel said, Janet nodded and they went inside with Daniel's arm around her waist.
