I stepped onto the ledge of the ten story building
'On top of the roof
The air is so cold
and so calm'
"Jade?" I hear my best friend/crush Bill Kaulitz say softly.
'I say your name in silence
You don't wanna hear it
right now.'
"Go. Leave, you don't need to save me." I said in a calm voice as tears dripped off my chin to the ground far below. I could see the police car lights flashing, illuminating random faces in the crowd below.
'The eyes of the city
are counting the tears
falling down.
Each one a promise
of everything you
never found.'
"Don't do this!" He yelled pleadingly.
'I scream into the night
for you, don't make it
true.'
"I have to." I replied.
"Don't jump!" He screamed.
'The lights will not
guide you through
they're decieving
you, don't jump
Don't let memories go
of me and you.
The world is down
there out of view.
Please don't jump.'
I closed my eyes for a long period of time, as memories of us flashed through my head. I slowly opened my eyes, but I couldn't remember why...
'You open your eyes
but you can't remember
what for.'
"Don't do this!" Bill pleaded again.
I looked up at the sky, watching the snow drift slowly. I wiped away the fluffs of snow from my eyelashes and repeated, "I have to."
'The snow falls quietly
you just can't feel it
no more.
Somewhere out there
you lost yourself in
your pain.
You dream of the end
to start all over again'
"I scream into the night for you, don't make it true, don't jump! The lights will not guide you through, they're decieving you, don't jump. Don't let memories go, of me and you, the world is down there out of view. Please don't jump, don't jump." He sang, his voice carrying over the wind. He stretched out his hand.
I moved closer to the edge, just one more step.
'I don't know how long
I can hold you so strong
I don't know how long'
"Just take my hand, give it a chance, don't jump." He sang.
'I scream into the night for you
don't make it true don't jump'
"The lights will not guide you through, they're devieving, don't jump. Don't let memories go, of me and you. The world is down there out of view, please don't jump. Don't jump!"
I turned around to face him, did he really care?
He took a few steps closer, his hand was still outstretched. "And if all that can't hold you back... I'll jump for you."
I broke down in tears and collapsed into his arms.
He held me tightly, "Why would you EVER think about suicide! Why didn't you come to me, I would have talked to you." I shrugged and hugged him tighter. "Don't ever, ever think about jumping again." He whispered, tilting my chin up. I nodded and blinked away tears. "I love you too much to stand losing you." He tilted his head and kissed me gently.
"I love you too, I'm sorry."
