Okay, so this is basically Booth's musings on B+B and B+H… Short, sweet, and I own nothing. Not even my sleep deprived state… Not even a guy who'll make me a hybrid slime mold that smells pretty. Angela doesn't know how lucky she is, or maybe she does, and that's why she said yes when he gave her the glowing shrimp…

"So, what happens now?"

The scene was like a flashback, he was seeing Bones in front of him telling him she just couldn't change overlapping Hannah's proclamation. Then, just to add another layer of fun to the mixture, Rebecca was there, shaking her head no, this isn't what she wanted… What any of them wanted, truly? But this is what he had to give: marriage, forever. But that wasn't enough. They wanted something free, without boundaries or rules or restrictions. Something with a definite beginning, a middle, but blurry at the end –full of limitless possibility.

Booth wanted a begging, a clear defined end, and the middle could flow best it could. They wanted the present, the here and now. He wanted a future, a promise, an "I'll love you forever." But they couldn't give him that. They didn't even want to try.

So he gave up, he wasn't going to be Booth of love and future and Christmassy. He wasn't going to be that Booth. He was going to be in the now. Go it day by day and let the chips fall where they may. Don't make plans for anything more then 3 days in advance, 'cause you'll be played the fool.

What happens now? What happens now is that he'll get over Hannah (somehow it doesn't seem all that daunting) and form a more cordial relationship with Bones. He was going to stop any form of a romantic relationship, because she was in love (If she ever loved him at all) with the past Booth. The lets-talk-about-hope-love-and-relationships-Booth… and he wasn't that guy.

Bones was an amazing –no, extraordinary—person. She'd find someone she enjoyed, then another, then another, and he'd be her partner, just like he wanted. So, why did that hurt?

Because Bones was day by day. She experimented, and didn't promise the future. Except when she did. Because Hannah and Rebecca too, and Tessa and even Cam and Catherine were in it for the moment. But Bones, she looked ahead and didn't like what she saw.

"What happens next?"

So, maybe they were similar, they both looked to the future. But day by day was best, even if there was something shining in the future.

Aw… B+B are adorable… Especially when they're shooting things… :D

And Bones' acting was hilarious, "You're like Heathcliff!"
