Leah Clearwater liked talking in quotes; but that was back in high school. Now, she only liked talking in insults.
But as Mick Jagger once said, old habits die hard.
On Christmas day, Leah went to the Black household bringing a bulky box with her. It was wrapped in plain, red paper and topped simply with a green bow.
Upon arrival, she placed the gift on the floor and then knocked on the door. Billy answered moments later. "It's Christmas Eve, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Sue and Seth?"
Leah smiled warmly at him and replied with, "Unfinished Business." She walked into the living room and found Jacob sprawled out on the couch, talking to Rachel and Paul.
"Hey." Three heads turned to look at Leah.
"So, what's up, She-wolf?" Paul asked; Leah didn't respond. She merely walked towards Jacob and shoved the package onto him.
"Open it."
Jacob did and found... rocks. Holding one up, he said, "You know, this would be funny if you didn't come all the way here to give it. Maybe for a secret Santa thing or whatever. It just doesn't have the same cha--" The next thing he knew, Leah Clearwater's lips were on his.
When she pulled away, she said, "Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts. Mine is yours now, Jake."
Jacob looked at her intently in the eye, with a euphoric smile on his face, and said in a whisper, "Likewise."
A/N: Jacob has no romantic feelings for Nessie. Yep. Anyway, this is my gift to you guys. Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah and Happy Kwanzaa, too!
