The last of the Talon's fled, but Aerrow's focus was not on them. It was on the shivering form of his best friend, crumpled on the floor with blood pooling around him.
He wasted no time in running over to Radarr's tiny prone form, and throwing himself down next to him...

"No… Just hang on buddy. We'll get you fixed up… Just hang on okay?"
Aerrow's voice held none of the hopelessness, despair and agony he felt as he saw blood pooling round Radarr's tiny body. The think blue fur was matted with the stuff, and he was giving faint whimpers that were getting quieter and more irregular by the second.
Aerrow pulled Radarr into his arms and hugged him closer as he ran for the Condor. He ignored the blood that was soaking into his uniform, instead focusing on getting to the ship.
A pained whimper had him tripping and falling to the floor as Radarr thrashed about slightly, tipping him off balance.
Aerrow turned himself as he fell, making sure Radarr landed on top of him, and quickly rolled over, tears pooling in his eyes as he saw the blood flow slowing… He tugged off a glove with his teeth and rested his hand against Radarr's chest, biting back his sob as he felt the failing, erratic heartbeat.
"Look… Just… Just h-Hang on. Hang on Buddy… You're gonna be o-okay…"
A small whimper from his best friend had Aerrow clutching the small body closer, as he realised there was nothing he could do. He wouldn't cry though… He wouldn't let Radarr down…
"H-hey… You're gonna be okay… R-Radarr?"
A small chirp and Radarrs ears wrapped themselves around Aerrow's shoulder as the small sky monkey snuggled in closer, is small chirps and whimpers telling Aerrow, in the only way he could, that it was okay…
"R-Radarr… Y-you can't-Can't leave me… Not now… N-Not after everything… Please buddy… Radarr…"
A silent question in the depths of Radarr's eyes had Aerrow choking back his sobs as he got out an answer.
"Yeah… Yeah, you did good buddy… You always did… Better than ever…"
A small, happy chirp and Aerrow couldn't hold back the tears, that fell and got absorbed into the-now red-fur.
"R-Radarr… Please. I d-don't want to lose my best f-friend… Not after e-everything we-we've b-been through… Just stay with me… Just-just hold on… Please…"
He felt his heart breaking as Radarr's breaths became pained and ragged, before fading and stopping all together, his eyes closing for the last time.
"N-No… Radarr... Radarr please… D-don't leave me… Buddy please…"
Aerrow clutched his best friend closer to him, sobs wracking his body and tears soaking into the fur as he trembled, chest aching as though his heart was being torn out.
"R-Radarr… I-I'm sorry Buddy… I'm so, so sorry…"

That's how his team found him.
Knelt on the floor with tears streaming down his cheeks, his entire body trembling as he emitted pained gasps and sobs, still clutching Radarr to his chest.
He didn't let go for a long time…

Just me accepting a challenge to try and make my friend cry… Hopefully I succeeded, but angst I not my strong point.
I nearly tore myself apart writing this… *still sniffling*
