Toph walked up and shoved a clumsily wrapped up gift into Aang's back. Startled, Aang turned around to see her head bowed down and her arms extended outward holding a green wrapped up box.

"Hey Toph," Aang started, smiling brightly.

"Here." Toph gruffly answered. She pushed the gift into Aang once more to emphasize her point. "Merry Christmas"

"Really? Thanks Toph!" Aang carefully took the box and started to carefully unwrap it.

"It's badly wrapped, but I tried my best." Toph stated, her eyes still lowered as she fidgeted.

When he finally opened the box, Aang gaped. Under the many layers of tissue paper was a small figurine depicting a monk in orange robes meditating. All the lines were etched in deeply, giving the whole thing a more detailed look. He monk's eyes were closed and a blue arrow was carved in on the top of his head.

"It was really special for you to share with me the info about your ancestors, even the little that you know since you can't ask your parents. My dad was able to pull a few strings and get someone to carve and paint this for you. He likes you so… it was really nothing."

Aang put the figurine back into the box before engulfing Toph in a huge hug.

"Thanks so much Toph," he whispered in her ear. "You have no idea how much this means to me."

Toph blushed as she pushed him away weakly. "Yeah, yeah, you're welcome." She straightened up as she put her hands on her hips. "So what did you get me, Twinkle Toes?"

Aang turned around and rummaged through his locker. He pulled out a bigger box and handed it to her. "Merry Christmas."

Unlike Aang, Toph ripped of the paper and threw the pieces on the floor. Aang bent down to pick up the pieces and when he got back up, she was holding up a green t-shirt.

"So how do you like it?"

"Well…it feels like some piece of clothing…"

"Oh, right. Sorry." Aang replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's a t-shirt that says 'Too much attitude, so little time.'"

Toph smiled and punched Aang hard in the arm. "Thanks."

Aang grimaced as he rubbed his upper arm. "You're welcome. I saw it in the store and thought it thoroughly described you. Plus the color brings out your eyes."

Toph could feel Aang's heart beat rise and in turn, her cheeks started to flush too. A few awkward moments passed before, thankfully, the first warning bell rang and students noisily passed by them.

"Well I umm better get to class. Mr. Pakku's going to give me a detention if I'm late again." Toph said.

"Yeah," Aang started. "I should get to class too. I'll see you at lunch?"

"Yep. See ya!" Toph tuned around and walked away, holding her gift close to her chest.

"Bye." Aang weakly replied before leaving too.

A/N: So I'm back…sort of. I know I should get to my other stories, but I don't really have much time to commit to them- I have a bunch of homework over break, believe it or not. Anyways, I hope you liked the one-shot and I would really appreciate reviews…
