Rain fell from the grey, stormy clouds above. Wandering across a rocky landscape was a small girl - around the age of 13 but was small for her age. She had pale blonde hair which was as white as clouds - so white you could hardly call it a pale blonde. The girls eyes were a dark sky blue and her skin was as pale as snow. She wore a tattered dress which contained colours of dark pink and pastel sky blue along with a pair of white sandals. Tears fell from her sapphire eyes as she wandered through the damp gloomy rocky hillside. She couldn't stop crying - not after what had happened. Suddenly, through the mist the girl saw a figure heading her way. Fear and panic pulsed through her body, her judgement was clouded by grief. Emerging from the fog stepped the figure - another girl aged 13. She was of average height and her hair was long and wavy - just touching her elbows. Her eyes were a coal-like brown and her skin was lightly tanned. She wore a pale gray dress and a red ribbon round her waist along with a pair of black sandals. Just like the smaller girl, she was crying. As soon as she laid eyes upon the smaller girl she wiped her eyes and frowned. "Why are you crying?" She asked in a strong tone. She didn't sound like she'd been crying at all. "Achnologia killed her!" cried the smaller girl. At the sound of the name Achnologia the red headed girl felt tears welling up in her eyes once more.
Soon the two girls had found shelter from the rain and were sharing their stories. "My name is Leza," said the red head, "I'm a fire dragon slayer. Achnologia killed my dragon Hesutya." The smaller girl looked up. "My name is Maeva," She said, "I'm a sky dragon slayer. My dragon was called Sharia the sky dragon." The two young dragon slayers looked down towards the ground - remembering their lost loved ones. Then Maeva spoke "Let's stay together." Leza looked up towards the sky dragon slayer. "What do you mean by that?" She asked. Maeva smiled: "We're friends now right!" Leza seemed surprised. "Sure," She answered, "But I won't protect you." At those words Maeva's smile vanished. "It shouldn't be like that," Leza carried on, "We have to fight for ourselves." Maeva nodded now understanding. "But we'll be there for one another, We'll look out for each other - as friends do!"
The next day the two dragon slayers set off on a journey - not knowing where they were going exactly. The sky had cleared and a brilliant sun was now shining upon the earth. It was the dawn of a new day, and the dawn of a new friendship.
