I'm sitting in a small coffee shop in New York City. I just moved here and knew no one, but for the same stupid reason everyone seems to know me. I just got a record deal and I feel like I'm pretty famous, you would have to ask my fans. The problem that kept coming to my mind was I really miss my old life, especially Austin Moon. Austin had gone on tour and we gradually grew apart before suddenly the only time I ever heard from him was when he made the news.
I took one last sip of my coffee before walking out of the café. my phone rang in my pocket and I picked it up to see a new text from Trish 'where r u?' When I moved here, Trish followed. I quickly texted back 'coffee shop, be back in an hour' before walking in the direction I always went after coffee, to a magazine stand, to see if anything new was about Austin. I started reading through it and an article caught my eye. No, this can't be right. It read 'AUSTIN MOON, LAST SPOTTED IN NEW YORK, WAS SEEN STARING AT A GIRL NEAR THE ART MUSEUM TODAY AT 8:00 p.m.' This was made yesterday, I had been there yesterday, why hadn't I seen him, and who was he staring at?! One last thing, why on earth would it be in a magazine? I thought before remembering that Austin had a girlfriend, Lauren, and things like this would be in magazines. I quickly grabbed my bag and headed around the block. Maybe I could find him, just to see him. I pulled my hat and sunglasses on so I wouldn't get caught in paparazzi and started walking through time square. I ran into a big crowd wondering what the fuss was about. As I started to move forward, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I spun around and saw the guy running away, I had the strangest urg to follow him, so I did. He ducked through crowds and carts and finally into a tight ally, "hey, dude!" I called and he turned around, his face and hair covered, "what do you want?" He asked, that voice sounded achingly familiar, "well...you...I don't-" my voice got caught in my throat as he pulled off his cap, revealing familiar blond hair. There, standing in front of me, was Austin Moon.
