The Call
"A sailor can only resist for so long before the song of his siren pulls him under…"
-Ansem the Wise, Lurking in the Depths.
Her song was addictive. It haunted his dreams and lulled him across the ship's deck in the dead of night. The ocean's roar could not even hide her song from him. The notes had already threaded through his soul, hindering any relief that may have remedied the disease she had inflicted upon him.
"Back again my jolly sailor?" her voice, lilting like undulating waves, wafted from the sea spray to him.
He smiled, already trapped in her dangerous pools of blue. "Nothin'll get rid o' me. I'm yers."
She laughed and he could see her silver tail flicking droplets of water against the hull. "Come a little closer then. I want to see your face."
The sailor moved forward, close enough now that he could reach out and touch her. "What's yer name, maiden? I dun't believe you've told me…"
"Naminé," the siren answered silkily. She stretched an ivory arm towards him, and he eagerly clasped it. She drew him close enough so that he could see the halo of golden hair that cascaded over her shoulder and down her back.
"Naminé," he breathed, smile widening. "That's beautiful."
"And yours sailor?"
"Roxas," he answered swiftly.
Naminé tested his name on her lips and a sensuous smile etched itself on her petal pink lips. "Roxas…hmm…so many sweet melodies I can already hear."
"Take me with you," the sailor blurted before blushing scarlet and amending hastily. "S-Sorry…I mean…ne're mind…"
"You're not afraid of me?" she asked quietly and veiled half her face underwater.
Roxas shook his head. "Not t'all."
"You do know the legends, don't you?"
"I'm acquainted," Roxas replied and gripped her hand tighter, "but I know you wouldn't hurt me."
She delved below the water, but surfaced a moment later, holding out her hand again. "Dare to try then?"
He entwined their fingers—rough against smooth and spoke quietly. "Thought ye'd ne're ask."

A/N: This, like Red, is just a little drabble that I wrote sometime past midnight. I really loved the relationship Serena and Phillip in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and wanted to see something similar with these two since we don't get many mermaid stories on here. It's was also fun experimenting with dialect since I really don't use it.
If you have any prompts for RokuNami drabbles or one shots, I'll be taking some requests. I can't promise that I'll do all of them, but I will try to write as many as I can. The next one I'll probably be tackling is a genie drabble, so look out for that.
Please read, favorite and REVIEW!:D!
