THE DEATH OF MARIO

Chapter 1
Everything was fine in the Mushroom Kingdom. As far as the citizens knew, they were on good terms with the Koopas. Well, at least Bowser wasn't trying to kill them all. Princess Peach was walking in the Royal Garden with her pint-sized fiancee, Prince Mario. Prince Luigi and Princess Daisy were on their honeymoon in the Honeyhive Galaxy.
"Mario?" Peach said.
"Yes my dear," Mario said, trying to hide his Brooklyn/Italy accent.
"Will you give up fighting Bowser when we get married on Sunday?" Peach asked.
"Eh…" Mario blatantly avoided the question and encouraged Peach to come look at a beautiful rotting flower.
"Well?" Peach stared at Mario. She hadn't been sidetracked from her original question.
"I forgot-a! I have to go plumb Luigi's new castle! Im-a ready to go!" he said and hurried out of the castle, belly jiggling.
Something just isn't right with him. Peach thought, shaking her head in confusion. She wondered what was going on in Koopa Kingdom. A roar filled the happy blue skies. She looked up and saw a fleet of airships preparing to land outside the castle gates. Specifically, Koopa Special Air Guard. Toad came running out from the castle doors and dashed into the village yelling that they were breaking the truce.
You see, once a month, Peach and King Koopa met in one of their castles over a one day truce. Peach had forgotten they were meeting today. Bowser's fleet landed with a boom outside the gates. By that time, the Mushroom Brigade had managed to calm everyone down. The drawbridge lowered to the largest ship, which was plated with gold and had many cannons. Bowser came out, decked in majestic red robes, wearing a crown. Peach guessed he dressed the part to try to make her jealous of what she was "missing". Flanking the King Koopa were about a half a dozen Secret Serva-Koopas. They were wearing black shells that had spikes protruding from them. In Koopa culture, a spiked shell meant royalty or high place.
Following those were the Koopalings, then an army of Koopa Troopas. Finally, the Magikoop advisors poured out of the ships. Peaches Princess Protection Service stood in front of her. An army of Toads protected the castle. Also, Mario and his special force of Gold Squad Toads were watching from a nearby rooftop.
"Clear." Peach told the PPS as Bowser and his Protection came near her. They gave Bowser room to greet the Princess. The Koopas and Toads started to talk.
"Hello, Your Highness." Bowser said, courteously bowing to her. The Secret Serva-Koopas did the same.
"Hello Bowser!" She said carefully hugging him.
"Congratulations on the engagement! The Koopas will be sure to attend your wedding." There was only a bit of pain in his voice.
"Thank you for accepting the invitation." Peach said. She then turned back to the crowd that had gathered and said, " Now, who's ready for a banquet?
