A/N: This is just a small drabble that I typed up a couple months ago when I was bored. I tried to elaborate on it, but it just didn't flow well so I deleted it.
The Night
Emily woke up from her sleep. The time on her digital clock read 2:04. She deeply breathed in distressed. Ever since Ali went missing Emily would always feel little hints of uneasiness in the middle of the night, the uneasiness grew when the police found Ali's abraded body deep inside the dirt. She looked at her nightstand. A picture of Ali smiling from the corner of her mouth laid flat on the table. Emily would always look at it to comfort her when she felt scared; sometimes she would kiss it, but it was a habit she soon stopped. Emily held the picture in her hand. She stared at it: The strawberry blonde hair, the hazel eyes, the perfectly lip glossed smile, Ali was perfect. Then Emily soon thought about the message A sent her "Even though most of us have totally changed, it's nice to know you're still the same!" She quickly put the picture down. What was that supposed to mean? She knew it had something to do with her and Maya, but A obviously knew about her and Ali. Then she thought about the time she kissed Ali in the library. And then the time she kissed Ali's neck softly as she helped her hook on her ivory colored bra. Emily shunned the thoughts out of her mind and tightly closed her eyes. She felt something drop on her lower abdomen. She opened her eyes. It was a note. "Poor Emily! Still can't come to terms with who you are? I'm sorry it has to be this hard for you… "And once again the note was signed A.
