The room was dark and ominous. Nothing was alive in that room. My heart pumped faster and faster as my imagination filled the room.

That same imagination came to life.

The silence was so embracing. That silence when nothing matters to you. Not even your problems, not even what you're thinking.

I quickly shivered. Not because it was cold, but because the tension grew in that small room. I looked around the room and wondered where the whistling noise came from. I walked in to the center of the room and scanned everything. The sound was resonating off the walls and I couldn't tell where it was coming from.

'Where is that all coming from?' I asked myself. 'It's coming from every corner of these walls.'

Suddenly, a bright light emerged from the front of the room. I turned and realized it came from the Promethean Board, which had turned on all by itself.

'Maybe I can finally figure out what the monster…or if that monster was even there.' I said. 'That way, I can believe if I'm crazy if I see it.'

I got on the computer chair and moved the mouse around. I touched the garbage can button and right clicked it. I checked on the different options – one of which said, "Open files." I clicked it. The garbage can then…kinda exploded. It was just weird. But the computer faded from a blue screen to a bright, white screen. Its intensity was up to the point I had to shield my eyes.

"What's…happening?"

"Rizo Arion." A voice said. "Walk forward."

Blinded, I used my hands as guides to walk forward. However, I ran into something. The thing made the noise of a bell.

"Acceptance of Rizo Arion…granted."

The light went eventually away and I began to think of it as nothing more than a dream. After all, I woke up lying down on the floor outside the room.

"Rizo?" Ms. Artega said. "Wake up. You have to go home. You look ill."

Indeed I was. I couldn't walk straight when I got up, nor could I talk to Ms. Artega. Weakly I nodded, walking downstairs and outside. The wind blew against my back as I walked outside. To my advantage, the wind was blowing to the direction of my home. I huddled into the heat of my shoulders and dragged myself home.

Along the way, the wind began to blow harder and I resisted so hard that I put my head down. More than halfway around the pathway home, the electrical wires above me shook and whirred by the wind's power. It was so strong that when an ill-omened noise had gotten to the point of scaring me, I looked, and the wires snapped apart. The electric wires fizzed out sparks from both ends. In reaction, I quickly jumped back. And man… was I lucky.

The wires wouldn't stop fizzing…but if you had looked closely, the place where I was a moment ago was now fried. The ground was full of black ash.

I took a deep breath. And I exhaled. The wind was blowing away from home and as hard as I tried, I couldn't go forward. What could I do? I could've went back but no…now my mind was pounding. Seeking another way out of my predicament, I let the wind carry me south. But why? The only thing there was a reserve of forest land.

Or so I heard.

"Rizo…please…"the voice blew with the wind. "Rizo…

I shook. "Who are you? And what do you want with me?"

"There are no time for questions…you must hurry…to save us…"

My heart rose from its fatigue. "Is someone in trouble?"

"We are…help us…please..."

"…Whe-where are you guys?"

"Follow my breath…and you will be led…"

As crazy as it sounded, I couldn't argue with the possibility of somebody being hurt in the forest. But I knew I couldn't leave anybody in trouble…

In my last burst of energy, I took a deep breath…and I dropped my backpack. I let the wind lead me as I ran into the forest with my mind focused on one thing.

Helping. Even in the face of danger, I was willing to go help.
