A/N: I had to write this for my English class so I couldn't put any names in it. It's about Aragorn, Elladan, Elrohir, and Arwen. It's set before Aragorn goes to Bree and meets Frodo. The whole point of the assignment was to choose a tone and write a paragraph to it. I chose the tone of joy, so you have to review and tell me if this makes you feel all warm and fuzzy! Lol, just review and tell me what you think! Thanks!

The young man woke suddenly, he didn't know what had awoken him, but he got up out of bed. He ran to his window and threw the curtains aside. A broad grin broke across his face. The landscape was covered with snow as far as the eye could see. It was glittering pleasantly in the warm early morning sunlight. The immaculate snow was unmarred by footsteps or any kind of imprint, and this needed changing, fast. He ran to wake his older twin brothers, who grudgingly arose, until they saw the snow. All dignity was abandoned as the three ran through the house in an attempt to get outside as fast as possible. When they reached the door they all stopped. The valley in which they lived was breathtakingly beautiful, none of them had the urge to ruin the ethereal scene. The snow laden trees moved softly in the breeze and there was the pleasant singing of little songbirds hidden in the evergreens. The small brook that was usually heard babbling happily was frozen over, the ice was clear and glinted merrily in the morning light that danced on the frozen water. Then the three brothers could take no more, they appreciated the beauty of the scene, but the young men waited every year for the first snow of the season. It was a chance for them to act like the children in their hearts. And so they frolicked, laughing and yelling like little children, with spirits undimmed by the cold of the snow as the three brothers pelted each other with snowballs. One of the twins was on all fours laughing hysterically under a large fir tree, when his two brothers (who were the source of his entertainment) shook the tree and buried him in snow. The sun smiled warmly looking down on them as the young man got his revenge. The three men, were then caught unaware as another being crept up on them as they took a rare time out from their furious snow fight. The figure advanced silently seen only by the trees, and when in range the unknown person began to pelt the others with snow balls. The three men screamed like girls as they scattered in surprise. The unknown figure stepped out of the shadows, greeted by the warm sun on her face, taking in the light, she forgot about the others for a moment, smiling as she thanked the Valar for moments of complete bliss, like this. When the shadows of coming darkness felt like they were still ages to come. Her thoughts were interrupted quickly as her three brothers came into the clearing bombarding her with snowballs. The four siblings continued on like this for the rest of the day until the white snow began to turn gold with the setting of the sun. As they walked back into the house, they turned around, and took in the infinite beauty of the golden snow scape, the now dimpled snow still glittering joyfully in the light of the setting sun. The trees still blowing in the wind and the stream still reflecting the lingering light that danced on the ice. Everything in the valley glowed gold until the sun finally disappeared behind the misty mountains, standing proud and majestic in the distance.
