It was a quiet night in the Tardis. River had just put little Verity to bed. The doctor was fiddling with the Tardis' buttons and gadgets.

"Ready to go to bed sweetie?" River asked sing-song like. "Yes, you go get ready. I'll be there in a minute." The doctor was sonicing a gear with his screwdriver when River left to go to the master bedroom.

Their bedroom was a beautiful navy blue room with gold accents to it. River rushed to the closet. On one side was the doctor's strange fashion, and on the other side were her clothes.

She slipped into a more comfortable. She was wearing a black silk nightgown she had gotten in Germany, around 1941.

The doctor was walking to his room and he stopped to peak in on his little girl. Verity was sleeping soundly.

The doctor opened the door and saw his beautiful wife wearing the nightgown he had gotten her in Germany. The doctor walked into the closet and put on lounge pants and an old t-shirt.

He climbed into bed and right then River kissed him. They were kissing for about 5 minutes and things were starting to get serious and all of a sudden Verity started crying.

"Damn, that child is going to be the death of me." The doctor sighed. "Well at least you'll regernerate love."River said giggly.

The doctor left to go get their little girl. River was waiting on the bed patiently when all of a sudden she saw something tall. It was a scilence member heading in the direction of Verity's room.

She very carefully opened the bedside table and grabbed her small handgun and shot the creature in the head.

The doctor heard the shot and he held his daughter closer and kissed head.

"River...?" The doctor yelled. "Right here. I'm fine." River spoke back very softly, but shaken.

The doctor stepped into his room and saw the creature lying on the ground at the door. The doctor rushed over to his shaking wife and handed her Verity.

Verity fell asleep almost instantly. "We need to find somewhere safe. Not just for us, but for Verity." River said sighing.

The doctor said nothing but finally turned to his wife and said, "We'll start in the morning."
