This letter was written by Padme a few moments before she died. She asked Obi Wan to give this letter to Anakin, but it was never sent.

A Letter From Padme to Anakin

Dear Anakin,

A memory is a memory. A memoir will forever be a memoir.

You can't escape your past, Anakin. And, you can't escape your destiny. I knew it eversince I met you as a kid back in Tattooine. I saw those eyes full of fear… I pitied you as a queen pities her subjects.

Now that the dark side has fully seduced you, my love, I can only offer a moment of prayer that you might come back, someday. Even if I die tonight, Anakin, I will always be praying for you. And if God wills my children to live, I know they might save you. I feel there is still good in you, Anakin. I feel it.

Ah, those times… we laughed together, teased each other… how I wish I could bring back those happy moments. But I can't.

You may have already forgotten me, Anakin, now that you are a powerful Sith Lord. But remember, I will never forget you.
