"Scully?!" Mulder yelled taking her face almost roughly in his hands, "Are you OK?"
"Fine."
"Your Hands," Mulder interrupted Scully's answer. He lifted her hands up in his
and laid a gentle kiss on both her wrists, "What happened?"
"I'm-F-F-Fine."
She stuttered out calmly as she looked up at his face.
"Your in shock." Fox muttered.
He gazed into her eyes for a slow second before he ripped his jacket off and draped it around her shoulders gently. He ran a soft hand down her cheek.
"Lets get you home." Mulder chanted slowly.
He slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her toward his car. He placed her in the passenger seat and turned the vents toward her, the heat up, he slid into the drivers seat and drover to her apartment. Mulder pulled her out of the car walked her to her door and unlocked it with his own key, knowing hers was still at the office. He turned on the lights as they went, and sat her on the couch.
She looked up at him blankly. He pulled some blanket off the chair beside her and out of the closet. He placed them around her gently and moved silently into her kitchen. Fox leant down and pulled out a can of chicken soup, he opened it and poured it in a pot.
"Scully?" he called.
"mmm" was her almost silent response.
"I'm making you some soup."
"don't have to" she mumbled.
He turned on the stove, found a tray, and poured her a glass of water. When the soup was done he poured it into a white ceramic bowl and placed it on the tray.
"Scully eat." he ordered sweetly and set the tray in front of her.
She picked up the spoon, hesitantly, and dropped it shakily. Her head stooped, and tears covered her face for a few long seconds before Mulder leant in and pulled her to his chest.
"Your safe now." he crooned.
He drug a tan hand through her hair and rubbed it down her back.
"It's OK, your safe now, Scully, he's gone, your safe." Fox chanted.
Dana nodded into his shoulder, the soft fabric of his T-shirt cleansed her face. She looked up at him, shaking, after a couple minutes of his calming.
"Thank you." Scully sighed.
"Not a problem," Mulder answered as he took a seat on the couch beside her and slung a muscular arm around her shoulders. Scully shifted her weight and laid her head against his side. She fell asleep their nestled close to his lap, safe from the world around her.
