Disclaimer: I don't own The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
In the Fragments of His Memory
Who are you? Always smiling in front of me.
Why do you hold out your warm hands to me?
Please, answer me.
Calmer than the blue sea,
Clearer than the white waves,
Is your smile, I know.
The oldest, yet the dearest,
What something my friend has.
Is my precious treasure.
So why, whom I do not recall.
Do you always give that to me?
Many times in my dreams,
You appear, and smile at me.
Have we ever met?
I'm sorry, I don't know.
Then why? Whom I do not recall.
Why do I know your smile?
Why do I miss it so much?
Please, tell me.
Have I ever, in the past,
Met you before?
Even I ask, all you ever give me back
Is that warm smile of yours.
Then why? Whom I do not recall.
You give me all those smiles,
Yet you never come to see me.
If you hold your hands out to me,
Then why can't I see you,
Anywhere but in my dreams?
You, who smiles down on me,
Would you care to give me your name?
Would you mind if I take,
Your warm hands in mine?
With that pleasant smile on your face,
You part your lips and say
" "
Please tell me, whom I do not recall.
If you are to give me your smile,
And your warm hands, as mine,
Then the name you whispered out to me,
Who does it belong to?
Just my imagination of flapjack. Since he was found by Bubbie, and his true parents never appears in the show.
Even though Flapjack was still a baby when he was found, I thought he might remember his mother somewhere deep inside of his memories.
And so she appears in his dreams, but Flapjack can't recall who she is.
The name, "Flapjack" was given by Bubbie, but I believe Flapjack has a true name. Which his real parents gave him, and his mother who appears in Flapjack's dreams calls him by that true name, yet Flapjack doesn't remember it.
...yeah, that's pretty much what this poem is trying to say. I'm sorry if it was confusing to understand.
