He's the Potions teacher
At Hogwarts you see
Known to be a deatheater
And rather unfriendly.
But is that the real story
Could that really be?
Is he only angry?
Or simply lonely.
For this complex task
To find the answer of accuracy
We must journey past
In his memory of tragedy.
And here we will see
Why he acts like this
And here we will see
The truth that we all miss.
He started out lonely
Having no friends
That's when he meet Lily
Whom she of all people befriends.
Yes Lily Evans
No one wiser or smarter

The one who ends up with James Potter.
Well you see that's hes problem
She ends up with James Potter
And again he is lonesome
But worse because he loved her!
This all started for sure
When the houses separated them
Lily in Gryffindor
Snape in Slytherin.
There friendship became faded
Though both desperately tried to hold on
He called her a mudblood and it ended
She ran and was gone.
She ran to James's arms
To be comforted, loved, and happy

Not knowing she was killing Snape painfully.
Soon after marring James they had Harry
But Snape hadn't moved on
She was carefree and happy
He was barely living on.
He joined the darkside
And became a deatheater
But Dumbledore was his real ally
Everyone else thought he was a cheater.
Then they heard of the Prophesy
So James and Lily went into hiding
It most likely had to do with Harry
Harry and his loved ones dying!
So Snape went to Voldemort
Asking to spare Lily

But Voldemort thought the request was silly.
The Potters ratted out by Peter Pettigrew
Was visited by Voldemort that night
And although they were Harry's rescue,
They died in the fight!
Still Snape lived on
With the feeling of regret

Still lonely and upset.
Then came the years
When he had to teach Harry
And with them came the tears
Held in his heart only for Lily!
But Harry only thought
Snape hated him because of his father
He never stopped and thought
It was something much deeper.
But to late, it was time
Time to put Dumbledore's and Snape's plan to action
With the drawling near of wartime
And Malfoy's secret mission.
Malfoy's secret mission
Was to kill Dumbledore dead
But Malfoy's chances were beaten
When Snape did it instead!
That was all part of the plan
But Harry knew this not
This was all part of the plan
But the more Harry thought about it the madder he got.
Now it's year seven
And Harrys destroyed almost all the Horcruxes
Now it's year seven
And Harry almost has Voldemort in his clutches!
But now the war has begun
And many are dying
None of this is fun
And if he survives, it will be baffling!
But what Harry still knew not
That is of Snape
Is that he fought
For Harry's safe, winning escape!
Now Harry left to the Shrieking Shack
To kill Voldemort there
But instead he found Snape almost dead and on his back
Gasping for air!
Snape called him forward
And gave him his last memory

Then died after shortly!
Harry saw that memory
The memory that made everything make since
Harry saw that memory
Finally putting together the hints.

Despite his yearly hatful displays

This made him sad
For Harry had never had
The chance to know Snape
Other than a rude, hatful man in a cape.
Now with his new self pity
He set out to fight Voldemort
And this thought was most scary
He almost abort.
But instead he kept walking
Toward his fate
Eventually ending up winning
And his triumph, to his LOVED ONES KILLED he DEDICATE!!
