Happy (late) birthday, Ella and I hope you like your present :)
Only A Fairytale Ending
She's so damn gorgeous.
Irresistible, that's what the boys with a wider vocabulary than 'hot' and 'fit' say. And Scorpius would like to say that he is very much one of those boys, thank you very much.
And with one ripple of that glorious titian hair and one blink of those wide brown eyes all the boys are tripping over and making fools of themselves, offering to carry her bags and escort her to her next class. But Scorpius is far too cool for that.
He just stands there and watches all those hormonal teenagers eagerly offering and who's the one with the triumphant smirk when she dances over to him and leaves those boys holding her bags, huh?
He's the one, that's who. Because she loves him, you got that? They've been best friends since they were tiny little babies in playpens and it will be the same way forevermore. And he's the one she kisses every year on the first day of spring, on the first day of the summer holidays, on Halloween, on Bonfire Night, on Christmas under the mistletoe and at midnight on New Year's Day. He's special and you better not touch his girl.
And he loves her. Oh yes, you've heard all about him being a cold little bastard who can't love anyone because he gouged out his own heart (a bitter ex-girlfriend started that rumour), but none of it - and I mean none of it - is true. He loves her with every ounce of life in his body and he will never let her go.
Try to take her away from him at your peril. And you will be in equal peril if you try to take him away from her. Seriously, you do not want to be at the receiving end of Lily Luna Potter's infamous Bat-Bogey hex. Sent Orca Gallifrey to the Hospital Wing for a week, she did. And Scorpius may not be quite as handy with a wand, but he has a good punch. He sent Sylus Bletchley to the Hospital Wing with a broken nose and swollen face.
They're a power couple, you know. Equally cunning and manipulative and she's as much of a bitch as he is a bastard. They live up to their house's name. They're both Slytherin snakes and somehow they fit together. Amazingly, they work, despite their similarities and everything about catching more flies with honey, they work.
And trust me, if you'd ever heard them whispering or seen them kiss, you'd know too.
It all began on a gloomy, drizzling day in November, of all times. No birdsong, no shining smiley yellow sun, no glass coffin, no dragon-guarded tower. He's not a prince (unless you actually call him the Slytherin Prince) and she's most certainly not a princess. Their story doesn't start with once upon a time…
There was a distant rumble of thunder sounding when the entire student and staff body of Hogwarts witnessed their first kiss. It was crazy. Everybody was convinced they loathed each others' guts and there they were snogging the life out of each other. It was insanity and from then on it only got worse.
Now they're just sickeningly sweet, if a Slytherin couple can be like that. It's crazy and strange and insane but it seems right, because they're right.
And their story isn't some clichéd fairytale. There's no the beautiful, sweet Princess Lily or the handsome, kindly Prince Scorpius, but they seem to be on the road to a and they both lived happily ever after.
They're happy and that's what matters. And you have a princess who can rescue herself and a prince who will proudly watch her fight her own battles and when the kiss all those little mice come out and sing. Except that, in their world, the words bibbidy-bobbidy-boo will just earn you a strange look and giggles.
Hum...I'm not too sure about this, but hopefully you liked it and Ella liked it :) Happy birthday, hun! :D
