A/N: This was written as a different POV of "Squeeze". This is one of my first posted X-files fics and I apologize in advanced if it's a little rough. I have not seen many episodes in succession so this could be a little OOC (or a lot). Well there's your warning…go on…read!

Recap: One of Scully's friends from the FBI academy, now working in the Violent Crimes Unit, asks her to assist him on a homicide investigation involving no clear point of entry. Mulder realizes that this is similar to a series of X-Files case that have occurred every thirty years, and joins in the investigation to stop the latest cycle.()

"It seems like you were acting very territorial, I don't know, forget it."
Off course I was. She's more than my partner more than my other half. We have something, some kind or chemistry. She knows it, I know it, but we don't act on it. Or maybe I will after this case, take her out to dinner, that can't be a sin. I've noticed lately that I hate it when she goes to have lunch or dinner with other men even if it isn't a date. It's like it registers in my mind as a threat a time a friend could get too friendly with out me being there to…to what save her. Ha! Like Scully needs saving, she's strong she can take care of herself. I've also noticed lately…I need to stop doing that…that every male we run into hits on her, I know this, I'm used to this, but suddenly…why now-has seeing how he looked at her changed this. I kept thinking of how many times she stood up for me. There was no point in denying my territorial nature, we both knew I didn't want her with anyone else.
"Of course I was." I pull at her necklace. "In our investigations, you may not always agree with me, but at least you respect the journey. And if you want to continue working with them, I wont hold it against you."
I gave her a way out…and…and she followed anyway. I really need to take this woman out.
