Okay, so this is the second time I've posted this. The first time it was in the Starship category because there was no category for HMB at the time. When the HMB category was created I moved it. I received an email from that it was in the wrong category and they took it down. So here it is again, only now as a crossover because I'm not entirely sure what happened the first time.
Candy looked out the window and frowned. Sweet Tooth had insisted on taking her on a vacation, but their current location looked like the exact opposite of paradise. They were parked in front of a very large factory. Smoke stacks towered on top of it, and there was smog all around.
"Is there a reason why we're here?" Candy asked, turning to Sweet Tooth. She was shocked to see a smile on his face.
"This is where I'm taking you," said Sweet Tooth.
"What, you took me all this way to finish me off?"
Sweet Tooth smirked. "No, Sugar Baby, this is the most magical place in the world."
"You're joking."
"No Twix, but treats await you inside."
Sweet Tooth opened the car door, and Candy did the same. The smog didn't smell like coal or ashes. It smelled sweet. She'd never smelled anything like it before. It smelled like chocolate, but it was almost unreal to be chocolate.
"Where are we?" Candy asked as the stepped to the iron gates.
Sweet Tooth shrugged his shoulders and looked out at the giant building. "Home."
Candy opened her mouth to speak but a crackling sound interrupted her. "I'll be with you in just a moment," the voice said. Candy looked up and saw an intercom. It looked cold and gray like the rest of the area. The scent of chocolate was the only happy thing she noticed.
The gates creaked as they opened outwards. Sweet Tooth took Candy's hand and began to walk on the cobblestone path. As they moved forward, a man appeared from the building, shutting the door behind him. He was wearing a deep violet suit and top hat, and he leaned on a cane. Soon, Candy and Sweet Tooth were standing right in front of him. The man had a kind face, but his eyes looked tired.
"Who can take the sunrise," Sweet Tooth sang softly.
"And sprinkle it with dew," the man answered with a smile on his face. "It's been ages, Sweet Tooth."
"I know, but I've been having quite a Spree in Gotham."
"But to ignore your brother?" the man asked, opening the door. Candy turned to Sweet Tooth. He'd never mentioned a brother.
"I wasn't ignoring you, you Airhead," Sweet Tooth said, guiding Candy inside. "I just had other things to do."
Candy looked around and saw that the room she was standing in was covered in wallpaper. Upon further inspection, she discovered that different fruits were the theme.
"The blueberries taste like blueberries," the stranger said. "Try it."
"I'm supposed to lick it?" asked Candy, sniffing the berries. They smelled real.
"Yes," answered Sweet Tooth. "And the snozzberries taste like snozzberries."
Candy stuck her tongue out cautiously and licked the wallpaper. She was pleasantly surprised to find that the blueberries did taste like blueberries, and the snozzberries did taste like snozzberries. "That's incredible," she whispered.
"Come along, Candy," Sweet Tooth said, taking her hand. The trio walked together to a door at the end of the hallway.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Candy asked the man when they reached their destination.
"My name is Willy Wonka," he said, unlocking the door, "and this-" the door went 'click' "is my chocolate factory."
Candy gasped. The room was a living forest of sweets. She stepped inside slowly and gazed at the splendor all around her.
"Welcome home, brother," Willy said to Sweet Tooth.
He smiled. "It's good to be back."
