Prison Paradise
In this place of darkness
Of bleakness and of fear
Everywhere there're shadows
And nothing seems too clear
Everyone has secrets
Just waiting to be found
And non of us can leave this place
To which we all are bound
There's no escape and no release
As we move from day to day
From the obstacles we have to face
That we find along the way
But through all the gloom and darkness
I can see a shining light
That keeps away the coldness
And chases away the night
That light belongs to the hero
Who is there for every one
Whose strength and courage and passion
Shine like the golden sun
He is our unspoken leader
'For everyone turns to him
When they're hurt or scared or lonely
Or when things are looking grim
I'm always right beside him
So he knows he can count on me
But half the time I'm scared to death
That we will never be free
But I find myself forgetting
If only for a while
This dreary place we're stuck in
Solely from his smile
And I'm being drawn toward him
And though I understand why
I have a problem trusting people
Although I might give it a try
'Cause as strong as I am I need comfort
From a friend or from something more
And somehow he got into my heart
And into my very core
And this place doesn't seem so bad
When he's sitting next to me
And when he's looking into my eyes
It's a paradise I see
But as much as I love being with him
I wish that we weren't here
In a prison of hopelessness
Of darkness and of fear
And to get away from this place
I would pay any price
But for now I'm stuck here in
My prison paradise.
