Chapter 1: New School, New Life
Yuri walked up the hard stone steps of her new University. She smiled to herself as the wind blew past, thinking how happy she was to leave that old life behind. No more nagging parents, or anoying siblings. She was her own person now, not tied down to anyone or anything. But...Satoshi. She left him behind, saying she'd visit every now and again. Maybe, she thought. Maybe.
She stratche dand continued up the stone steps. A voice sounded in the distance, shouting in a frantic, hurried tone. "Catch that!" shouted a boy with beautiful golden hair. He continued running and thats when she saw it. A large school bag came hurtling at her head. From the looks of it, it was heavy.
"You have got to be kidding..." was the only thing she got out before the large bag hit her between the eyes.
When she awoke next, she was lying in the infirmary, the boy sitting next to her, staring out the window. She began to sit up and he slowly pushed her back down.
"Dont," he said softly. "You have a slight concussion. Look, I'm sorry. I was fooling around with some friends and they threw my bag a litlle too hard and..." he paused. The look on Yuri's face was frightening. "Um, let me introduce myself. I'm Kail Mursili. I'm a Junior here. You are?"
She glared a moment longer before she turned away. "I'm Yuri. I'm a freshman."
"Ah, you have got to be kidding me! I whacked a freshman? Ah man." He whined for a moment longer before turning away from her. When he looked back, his face was flushed. And Yuri noticed for the first time how absolutely gorgeous he really was. "Let me buy dinner as an apology," he said. Yuri shook her head and got up. "I'm fine, I'll just go to class now," she said. An epiphany suddenly cut her short and she looked Kail in the eye. "Okay, I'll forgive you... If you kiss me." he was hot, he was most likely popular and she was by no means beautiful. He wouldnt do it. Kail leaned forward and brushed his lips lightly against hers. "That do?" Yuri flushed and ran. God, how immature! She ran into the girls bathroom, looking into the mirror and her flushed face. "Fuck, Satoshi is going to kill me."
