I stared at my new brother, surprised at the size of him.
"He was attacked by a bear," Rosalie said. "I saved him. Get along, boys." She walked away, probably to go and fix her make up. Be nice, she said to me as she stalked away.
Emmet looked awkwardly around him and raised his hand. "Hi, Edward, I'm Emmet." All he could think of was her. Dammit, this is so annoying. A big strong guy like that so easily tamed by Rosalie.
"I know," I said, not really meaning to be rude, but more annoyed now than I was before. His thoughts were all about Rosalie, and her body. I found it strange, that human emotion of lust.
"Yeah…Ookie-dokie then I'm going to go meet everyone else." He walked warily past me, glancing behind him as if to make sure it was okay if he left. I stared after for a second before smiling to myself. Maybe we could get along after all.
Alice came up behind me and patted my shoulder. "So what did you think of him," she asked in her calm voice.
I turned around, a smile plastered on my face. I laughed and began to follow after Emmet. "I like him," I chuckled. "He says ookie-dokie."
Alice stood in shock for a second, the followed after me. "Yeah?" she said, winking at me as she came to my side. "Well, I like you. You like people who say ookie-dokie." We laughed and caught up to Emmet, welcoming him to our family.
