Spirited Away does not belong to me. Against all odds belongs to Phil Collins. Please tell me if the disclaimer is wrong, ne? Thanks. Sorry it's short I can't decide if I should write another part or not.

For Just A Moment

How can I just let you walk away,

Just let you leave without a trace,

When I stand here taking every breath-

With you

Haku took her hand as she waved goodbye to her former employer and friends. She had given him back his name... no more then that. She had given back his soul. He walked her to the boarder of the spirit world. He waited for her to run off. Nothing happened. He turn to look at her. Behind the triumph that her eyes still held was such a soul eating sorrow that he almost demanded that she stay with him. He would take better care of her than any human every would.

"Will I see you again?" She asked. Waiting to hear his answer like the rest of her life depended on it. He smiled when he realized that if he told her "No." she would stay with him. Stay where she didn't belong. He looked into that oh, so trusting face and lied. With a smile that he thought would kill him, he lied to her.

"I Promise." It hurt. Physically hurt, to tell her the lie. It worked though, her eyes lost most of their sorrow. "Don't look back till your through the tunnel, okay?" She nodded taking one last long look at him before taking off. Her hand slipping out of his. He would remember the last second their hands remained in contact for the rest of his life. It was the only time he wanted to undo what he had done.

How can you just walk away from me,

When all I can do is watch you leave.

Cause we've shared the laughter and the pain,

And even shared the tears.

You're the only one who really knew me at all.

So take a look at me now,

There's just an empty space.

There's nothing left here to remind me,

Just the memory of your face.

Take a look at me now,

There's just an empty space.

And you coming back to me,

Is against the odds,

And that's what I've got to face.

That's when he felt them. They were unfamiliar to his face, something that had never been there before. Tears of the purest water ran down the former river guardian's face. Haku tried to wipe them away, only to find fresh ones already on their way down. He was glad that he'd told her not to look back, he couldn't stand it if she'd seen him cry.

"Good bye.....Shihiro." Only the wind was able to hear his whisper.

But to wait for you,

is all I can do,

and that's what,

I have to face.

So take a look at me now...

Shihiro.
