Time Lord

He'd already lost her once before,

A fact which he could not ignore;

He'd found a friend to take her place

As she was exiled off in space.

But then dear Martha Jones had left

And Donna had come to ease the rift,

But then the turn of events had led

To finding his love, but to remain yet unsaid.

And now poor Rose was gone for good,

And there in pain the Doctor stood

As he watched his double take his place

So that he could vanish without a trace,

Leaving all the hurt behind

As he tried to forget memories that would not rewind.

And so the Doctor turned and left,

All alone and quite bereft,

For he knew that Donna must also go

And he again would be left to travel alone.
