Mistletoe
It was Christmas Eve and Jack was waiting in his living room for the rest of his team to show up. The room he was occupying was beautifully decorated thanks to some help from Cassandra. He was just watching the fire burning all the wood in the corner when the doorbell interrupted his thoughts.
"Hi sir." Sam said when Jack opened the door.
"Hi Carter. Come on in. Daniel and Teal'c still haven't arrived yet. I think they went to get donuts." He said letting Sam in and closing the door behind her. They walked towards the living room but Sam stopped right at the doorway.
"Wow."
"Yeah, Cassy did a great job." Jack said.
"Ya think." Sam took a few seconds to look around the room and giggled when she looked up.
"What?" Jack asked turning his eyes to the exact spot were Sam was looking. What was that mistletoe doing there? Then, he looked back at Sam who was looking back at him. He leaned in until there lips finally meet. Cassy was so going to get a huge gift for this one! He was about to depend the kiss but instead they both jumped and separated when they heard a knock at the door.
"That's probably Daniel and Teal'c." Sam said
"Of course it is. Daniel always has terrible timing." Jack said making Sam smile. He went to go answer the door and was not surprised to find the two missing team members waiting outside.
"Hey Jack. We didn't find any donuts but we got chocolate cake." Daniel said entering Jack's house with Teal'c right behind him.
"Even better!" Jack said. They all went into the living room and enjoyed the rest of the evening.
