My Birthday
All these new sights,
soon to be lit up with lights.
So many different people here,
I can't believe I'm really here!
Here in this world so great,
I dont understand why Mother hates
this, and kept me in my tower,
I love this place more with every hour!
There are so many books to read,
the dances are so fun to lead.
The street musicians are so fun
and the drawing's the best I've done.
This place is so big, so new,
and I know that once I'm through,
this will be the best day ever,
I will remember this forever.
It just amazes me
how fascinating the world can be.
I find myself wondering if I should go back
to Mother and the towers that lacks.
Maybe I shouldn't worry about what and how
and just focus on on right now.
"To the boats!" I hear a man cry.
I've waited for this all my life.
