AN: I've been in love with Tokyo Babylon and X/1999 for the last few weeks, so I felt obligated to write fanfiction. Strangely enough, although I planned to write Subaru/Seishirou first, Fuuma just sprang to mind, so... here, have some Fuuma!
Anyway, this spawned from my belief that Fuuma and Kamui of the Dragons of Earth are one and the same, body and soul. I don't think they were the exact same originally but that they merged after a while. And, I just like Fuuma better as a Dragon of Earth. XD
Fuuma understands everything when he becomes Kamui of the Dragons of Earth.
At first, it is so confusing that he acts on instinct. He attacks Kamui (of the Dragons of Heaven, he silently adds, I'm also Kamui now) and chains his sister because that is what Kamui of the Dragons of Earth has to do. It has been foreordained. He is merely following the script, a puppet on strings.
Then, he wakes up, really wakes up, when he plunges his sword through his sister's chest.
"If the earth is going to shatter because of me, it would be better if I shattered instead."
At that moment, Fuuma finally understands.
And, he is no longer just an actor following lines, no longer a puppet being controlled by a puppeteer.
He is no longer Fuuma anymore.
He is Kamui.
Kamui of the Dragons of Earth.
The earth is wishing for a change.
So, he will change the earth, just as it desires.
And, for the sake of those that live on this earth, he will fulfill their wishes.
"Let me make your wish come true, Kamui."
