TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE FULL MOON

Hi guys, I got this idea and figured I would try to make something out of it. This takes place in Harry's third year, when Sirius has escaped from Azkaban, and no one knows he's innocent yet. He hides out in the Shrieking Shack and I wondered what he did on the first full moon of the year? He probably knew Remus was teaching there, but didn't know about the Wolfsbane, so I expect he figured he would see his old friend and try to talk things out, but things didn't go as he hoped.

'Twas the night before full moon

And all through the Shack

Not a creature was stirring

But Sirius Black

The escaped convict traveled

To prove he was framed

For no one believed

He was nice as he claimed

He sat on the bedside

With memories of past

The excursions, adventures

From first to the last

The moon hung in the sky

Like a large, milky ball

But no werewolves showed

So he gave a great call

"Oh Moooonnyyy"

He howled like a wounded young pup

"I didn't betray them

I was set up!"

No reply came

Human or not

So Padfoot sat down

Absorbed in his thoughts

There was something Sirius

Could not comprehend

The full moon was out

So why wasn't his friend?

He was forced to conclude

That his old friend had guessed

That he was a murderer

Like all of the rest

And with that happy thought

And his deadly mishap

The tired old dog

Lay down for a nap.

So, whaddya think? His "deadly mishap" was making Peter Secret-Keeper.
