"Time is different for us, America. It's longer, dragging on forever, yet at the same time, it's too short-much too short."

And that's what England taught America.

"America! Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"

"I'm sorry. I just wanted those flowers for you."

"Don't do it again."

He taught him to be harsh, stern, and strict as well as cautious.

"Here, hold him."

"Will it bite?"

"No. It's kind. It's harmless."

"What's it called?"

"A rabbit."

"It's soft."

"It's yours."

He taught him kindness and gentleness.

"America, I need to leave for a while."

"How long, Engwand?"

"A while..."

He taught him patience and independence, as well as faith in him, but it eventually these teachings would wither away or be used against the master.

"England, why can't I see that fairies?"

"Because you need to believe."

"I do believe!"

"In what?"

"Independence and freedom-in myself!"

America lost faith in him.

"All I want is my freedom!"

He used all he'd learned-harshness.

"I want to be my own nation!"-independence.

"I've grown now."-faith-"I can be on my own."

"I can't let you go!"

Cold, harsh, stern with kindness, gentleness, and fire-he taught all that to America; and he used it against England. America taught England nationalism and love for his own country.

A/N: umm... yeah... I know it sucks~ XD reviews would still be appreciated though~ 3
