Third day of their honeymoon. Loki was already back from the shop, feeling calm and content. He placed the bag of groceries onto the kitchen table and sighed.

"What's cooking, good looking?"Thor joked.

Loki found it amusing. It made him grin.

"Today we will be baking an apple pie."he explained, unpacking the groceries.

"Sounds great but there is not much I could help you with. I'm clueless when it comes to kitchen matters."Thor said, scratching the back of his head.

"I've got a book for it."Loki said.

"You've got a book for everything, sweetheart."he cooed into Loki's ear and kissed it. Loki wrapped an arm around his husband and patted his side.

"Could you prepare the apples, honey? Peel off the skin and slice them."he instructed.

"Anything for my handsome sorcerer."Thor replied. He went to wash his hands after Loki and dried them. He was really getting used to this married life.

"You know exactly what to say.".

And he did! Loki soaked up all the compliments but also made sure to give Thor a fair share of kind words. Now it was time to preheat the oven and slice the apples. In the meantime Loki poured some sugar and vanilla sugar as well into a bowl then washed and cracked in some eggs. He whisked the ingredients for about five minutes and added flour with cinnamon. Now it was time to pour half the substance into the baking tray, add the sliced apple pieces and coat them with rest of the dough. Then they shoved the tray into the oven and closed it for fourty minutes. Loki wanted to make them some coffee but Thor insisted he'd do it himself.

"I like the aroma."the blond said, breathing in the scent and pouring two cups of coffee.

"It is nice."Loki agreed.

"Not as nice as your smell."Thor said, winking. "You smell like heaven.".

The compliment made Loki's cheeks turn pink. He didn't quite know what to say.

"Well, you're one of the strongest and toughest warriors I know. Not to mention easy on the eyes."he replied, sitting down at the kitchen table and taking his cup. Thor sat next to him and placed his hand on top of Loki's. Their eyes met and they smiled at each other. They sat there, talking and sipping on coffee. Loki did most of the talking, he was excited and completely infatuated. Madly, deeply in love with Thor. He was not afraid to be himself in front of his brother, to act in the way some people would call foolish. Thor felt the same relaxation and ability to goof around a little bit if he wanted. Fourty minutes have passed and the pie was finally ready. Loki turned off the heat and opened the oven's door. He sprinkled some sugar powder on top and served it.

"Smells delicious."Thor commented.

"Smells like teamwork."Loki chuckled and gave his husband a piece.

They began to eat quietly, sitting next to each other. Later they talked about plans for the evening - a nice walk would do them good. Maybe buy some icecream from around the corner and then go watch the sunset together.
