AN: If you love something set it free.

The stars sparkled merrily on this warm late spring evening. The wind blew through newly budding leaves playing their soft rustling music. Fireflies floated along their glow mirroring the stars. It was a nearly perfect night. The blonde knight allowed a soft smile to cross his face as the wind ruffled his hair.

Reaching into his pocket he produced his scroll, opening it he tapped a few buttons calling up a recording he knew word for word. Gently he sat the scroll down on a nearby log. Smiling emerald eyes and vivid red hair sat frozen in time all he would need to do to call her to life would be a simple press of the "play" button, but not tonight. Tonight he wanted to just take a few moments and memorize her beautiful face.

He sat on the ground across from the scroll for several peaceful minutes allowing his memories to take him back to Beacon. He smiled remembering meeting her for the first time, becoming her partner, boring classes at her side, food fights and quiet nights just studying in the dorm. These were precious memories that he would have with him forever.

Unbidden, but not unexpectedly he began to recall his last few weeks with her. The smile on his face fell and his eyes clouded over. Memories of her being distracted and distant began to surface, unbeaten cotton candy left on the ground, her semblance flinging him onto the wall, underground vaults, maidens, choices, grimm everywhere, a brief reprieve from the chaos, a beautifully emotion fueled kiss, but, then, rocket lockers and frantic calls, answered too late.

Running his hands through his blonde hair he sighed next remembering a long journey, boisterous laughter aimed at his pumpkin Pete shirt, reunions, battles with the scariest grimm he had ever seen, Ren coming to peace with a part of his childhood, Nora too, saviors in airships impossibly arriving as if on que, the first goal of the journey met, more reunions, a betrayal, another battle at another school, a friend nearly died, this time he saved her, they won, no one on their side died.

He was smiling again. The victory of Have had given him a sense of peace he hadn't felt since the fall of Beacon. He finally felt like the person the beautiful kind girl had thought he was and his heart felt a lightness he hadn't known for months. The cold feeling of eternal winter that had settled into the very pits of his soul had finally begun to disappear, finally making peace with his past he pushed play silently watching the video.

"I'm just happy to be part of your life" she spoke to the camera the video coming to a stop resting on her sweet face with sparkling emerald eyes.

"I'm happy you were a part of my life too. Thank you Pyrrha, for being my friend, teammate, partner, for believing in me. Thank you, thank you for everything."

Reaching out he plucked the scroll from it's spot on the log and brought it to his chest in a motion resembling a hug. Holding the scroll in his lap he once again took in her sparkling emerald eyes, sweet smile and vibrant red hair, taking a deep breath he touched the scroll leaving his finger on the video for a few seconds. The small warning screen popping up hiding part of her beautiful face.

"Do you really wish to delete this video?"

"Goodbye Pyrrha, Thank you for being one of the best parts of my life"

The screen beeped at him "video deleted, return to gallery?" he closed the scroll, a single tear running down his face focusing on the stars he could have nearly sworn one in particular seemed to dance and sparkle far more than the others maybe he was imagining it, but maybe, just maybe that was her star twinkling in approval at him.
