Note: they are maybe 10 years of age in this one.
"Brother?" Thor called quietly as he poked his head into the kitchen. Loki wasn't there. Thor huffed and went on to search the rest of the castle.
"Ah-hah!" he cried turning a sharp corner expecting to surprise his brother. The servant simply looked at him and continued on his way. Thor sighed and walked down the corridor past the library- the library! Thor quietly entered the room and looked about. Loki loved it here. Thor found it to be musty and dull but mother hardly ever thought to look for him here so he supposed that it was an okay hiding place. Perfect for hide-and-go-seek. There was no one in the room but Thor was sure that Loki was here. He had to be. He stayed still and listened, it was actually Loki that had hammered the concept of patience into his thick head. "Sit still and listen, quit fussing and you'll be able to hear what you can't see" . Thor forced himself to be still and closed his eyes just like his brother had shown him. A page turned. Thor opened his eyes and looked up, way up high among all the books a leg hung over the edge of a shelf.
"Found you, brother!" Thor called happily. Loki drew himself further onto the shelf so he was no longer visible. Thor cocked his head "Brother? Come down, it's your turn to seek!" Loki didn't answer and Thor frowned starting to lose his temper "Loki!" he snapped. Again he was ignored. He growled and threw his fist at the shelf causing the structure to shake. Books fell on top of him, forcing Thor to duck and cover his head to avoid being hurt. There was a shrill scream and Thor looked up to see Loki falling, his bright green eyes wide with fear as his body rushed towards the ground. Thor acted without a thought, jumping up to grab his brother before the boy hit the ground. Both boys landed hard and lay sprawled on the floor Loki clutching Thor like his life depended on it. After they had calmed down Thor felt Loki move off of him to sit a few paces away
"Is it my turn to seek now, brother?" the dark-haired boy asked quietly. Thor grinned
"Yep"
