Disclaimer: I don't own Snakes on a Plane or anything produced from its existence.
Summary: Basically the events just after getting off Flight 121. Focusing on Chen Leong and Mercedes since I'm curious as to why he saved and stuck by the woman who's dog perished by big-ass Boa.

They were home. They were on solid land and finally free of those slimy little bastards that had done their very best to kill every single passenger in that metal death trap. Many of the snakes had been sucked through that hole in the plane's side via the double gun-shots Flynn had sent through the windows. A few of the suckers were still inside, though, and the few passengers who hadn't been checked over by the medics watched as the snakes were rounded up as evidence to help in Eddie Kim's trial.

Standing beside an ambulance, the young woman whose dog was the victim to one of the snakes stood watching as two black mambas were brought in a carrier from the cockpit, nestled contentedly around each other. Her jaw tightened at the sight. Once she was checked for any injuries, she was going for a stiff drink, she swore to God.

"Hey."

Jumping a little at the voice, Mercedes turned and was greeted by a much more friendly sight. That kick-boxer who'd helped her on the plane. She hadn't gotten his name, with all the chaos that had been going on the last few hours, she probably wouldn't have cared, but now…

"Oh. H-hi."

He gave a faint smile at the stutter in her greeting, a light blush sneaking up her neckline. Now that she got a clear look at him, she found he was actually kinda hot. Not like Three G's hot or even Agent Flynn hot, but regular shining knight hot.

"So, uh, you alright?"

Mercedes was about to give a chipper 'yes', but then she saw another handler emerge from the plane, holding another boa constrictor in his hands. The rather passive giant of a reptile didn't look like it wanted to bother fighting anyone now that the pheromones were out of its systems, but looks could be deceiving. The bulge in its middle was enough proof of that.

The young woman suddenly felt sick.

Turning as quickly as she was able, her knees suddenly wobbly, Mercedes went to the back of the ambulance, where she was sure basically nobody would see her, and proceeded to empty what little she had residing in her stomach onto the airport runway.

She didn't notice at first, too busy feeling the burn of vomit coming up, but Chen, gentleman he was, leaned with her and held the hair back from her face. He didn't know this woman, but he understood. He saw the boa eat her dog and was next to positive the one coming off the plane now was the culprit. Poor thing would most likely cry for days.

When Mercedes was finished, Chen dug in his pockets and handed her a slightly rumpled napkin he'd used a day ago during workout. She didn't really care if it was used, she just cared she could use something to wipe away the tears and mucus from her face. Lord, she was pathetic right now.

"Thank you. Again. Sorry about that." She apologized, trying to smile at the sweet Asian. The smile barely came up half-way, though.

"It's alright," He replied, leading her back to the front of the ambulance, bypassing the medics so they could just get out of the area with all these stupid snakes and into the airport where there was air-conditioning and he was pretty sure a food court.

"Didn't the police say to get checked out first?"

"Eh, if they really needed to look us over, I think they would have done it by now. Besides, we'll be right inside."

She hesitated for a brief moment, but nodded. A little blush came to her cheeks, as well as his, and they both walked into the airport. It was time to get to know one another.
