Watching you cry with a bouquet of violets on the ground next to you, I realize you've finally gotten the picture.

You're on your knees in the grass near a lake in the evening, drowning in sorrow, tears streaming down your face as you let out your loudest wails. No one's heard you. No one...but me.

According to you, it started out simple: you chased Sonic all around wanting to spend some time together, and when he objected, you forced him to go on a walk with you. Such a pathetic gesture, all from a spoiled brat who wanted nothing more than a certain piece of candy in a store.

No one has told you that people fear your outbursts. No one had told you that what you were after was an impossible dream. Everyone's too nice to tell you this.

And so, for as long as I have known you, you've been hopelessly devoted to that blue hedgehog, threatening anyone who even states something negative about it with that silly hammer of yours.

Earlier that evening, you found Sonic and Blaze together. When she admitted he loved him, you were fuming. It took all of your restraint not to attack them both. It's when Sonic admitted that he reciprocated did life give you the slap in the face you deserved. I witnessed the whole thing.

You probably believe that this is all a nightmare. A dream you can just wake up from and everything will be the way you remembered it before this day.

But when you think about it, it's painfully obvious.

Blaze is a woman. A disciplined, strong woman who has let life help her grow and develop. Though stubborn initially, she has learned from her interactions with everyone she has met to make her a better individual. Her morality comes from the dimension she hails from, and she can just as easily keep Sonic on his toes as he can with her. It's this compatibility that made him choose her over you.

You are only a girl, Amy Rose. A girl with an obsession that has lasted for many years, wanting something considered frivolous. But when someone says "no", you throw a tantrum. Of course, they're all too damn nice to you and eventually give you what you want in the end. A cycle that has finally been broken. Your reason for living is gone.

But I see that there is still hope for you.

Do you remember that time on the ARK? What you said to me showed me that I had met someone who is...life changing. You have the potential to be as strong as her. Yet, for the longest time, you've blatantly ignored it.

You changed my life. Now, it's my turn to change yours.
