Zoey 101
Chapter 1
Zoey was reading a horse magazine that had an article about a place to send money and things to help keep horses from being slaughtered. She thought that maybe she and her friends could help raise money for that. She got out her laptop and went to the website of the place to learn more about how it worked. She read,
If you would like to help save the horses that would otherwise be turned into glue or dog food, you can donate the money to buy those horses and find a new home for them.
" Hey guys come here!" Zoey called to her friends Lola, Quinn, and Nicole. "come look at this website I found." They looked over her shoulder. " let's have a fundraiser for them."
"Oh cool I love horses!" Lola said.
"You like horses?" Nicole asked. Lola nodded. "but they're all dirty and ugh." Nicole shuddered.
" but they're so sweet." Lola smiled. " I used to have horseback riding lessons on a beautiful gray mare named Rain. See I have a picture of her." Lola dug through her purse and pulled out the picture.
"Are you sure this is the right picture? This horse is white." Nicole questioned her.
" Of course silly. white horses are called grays because they always have little gray hairs; there are only a few pure white breeds." Lola laughed.
"You never told us you had horseback riding lessons." Quinn frowned.
"well you never asked."
" okay guys back to the point," Zoey said " how can we raise money?"
