Shadows that Follow: Prologue
I started walking to the edge of the platform, I looked back at my friends that were being held by the Titan of Time. They were yelling at me to stop, to run, to live. Well that's what I heard I couldn't hear them correctly, it was like I was under water. I looked at my boyfriend, loving him with all my heart and his pouting face and pleading looks was making my sacrifice even harder. For them I thought as I continued to the edge, all for them, Percy forgive me… I used the last of my strength I my legs to jump off, though hesitating for a second, maybe it'll be better to try and liv-... I felt a push from behind me. I fell, what I tell from the brief look I got. Luke or Kronos. My shocked face showed the hurt and I betrayal I felt at that moment even if it wasn't Luke in control, I could hear my friends screams for me when I plumed down to earth from Olympus, the ground closing in. Bye Percy, Annie, everyone, it was nice knowing you I thought while a grim smile formed on my lips thinking of all the good times I've had, when Percy first told me he loved me he was so adorable, when I first played capture the flag with my cabin, when I found out who my father was and moving into the golden cabin, good bye dear life. The last thing I remember is the sicking sound of my body hitting the ground, horrible pain. My burly vision I could make out a shape I think was a black feather floated into my vision, I heard the words sleep child whispered in a hushed tone, and then nothing else.
