Summary: A silly pop-song makes Catherine realize what she is really feeling.
Catherine was cleaning her living room when something caught her attention. She dropped the books she was gathering on the coffee table and walked up the stairs. As she moved closer to Lindsey's room, a small smile spread across her lips.
This was it. The song she had heard so many times at different places in the last couple of days. She heard it while she was out shopping last Saturday. At the gym on Monday. At her hairdresser on Tuesday and the last few lines in her car on several occasions during the last week.
Normally she didn't pay attention to songs playing at the mall or in the car for that sake. But there was something about the lyrics in this particular song.
The song ended just as she stepped into Lindsey's room. Before she could say anything Lindsey had hit the repeat button. Normally, it drove Catherine crazy when Lindsey listened to the same song for days, but this particular song could play from now and forever for all she cared.
Catherine groaned. It was a silly song. A young girl with a crush - very high school, really. She was pushing 40-something and she had a crush – on Gil Grissom.
