Lorelai walked down the stairs. Tears were running down her face and she could tell that Rory was crying too.
Rory was kneeling down about five steps away from their house. Lorelai could not believe what Rory had done.
She kept thinking to herself, Not my baby. There's no way. Not Rory.
Lorelai kneeled beside Rory and hugged her.
"I am so sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. He's not going to leave her. He was just using me I helped him have an affair. I'm horrible. This is so terrible. I can't believe it. I'm helping to ruin their marriage. I am so stupid." Rory rambled while crying.
"Honey you are not stupid. Maybe a little down on common sense for the moment or lacking judgement but, you have never been and never will be stupid." Lorelai cried.
They just sat there together, just holding each other and crying.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't of yelled at you. I didn't mean what I said, I was just so.. I don't even know how to explain it. Maybe surprised?" Lorelai apologized.
" That's ok. i made amistake and I deserved it. So what was that about Kirk running naked through the square?" Rory replied.
They both laughed.
"Yeah. It was crazy. Too bad I didn't have a camera. It would have been on the front page " Lorelai said.
"Imagine this...Kirk naked with nothing but a pillow to cover his...ahem...,Luke and Lulu chasing him, all the while Kirk shouting somenonsense about his bed being a bomb and Lulu being some terrorist It was so funny. Lulu had to go chase him and all that she was in was oneKirk's shirts." Lorelai laughed.
"EW TMI Mom " Rory exclaimed.
"Yeah well, at least you don't have to explain to all the other guests that the inn doesn't have any bombs in it and that everyone is perfectly safe!" Lorelai laughed again.
"Taylor is going to have a conniption!" Rory stated.
"Yeah. Think of how many comment cards that's going to fill up!" Lorelai said sending them into a giggle fit.
"Mom I'm sorry I yelled at you. I was wrong with what I did and I know that there is no way I can ever earn your trust back but I just wanted to say that I am truly sorry." Rory apologized.
"You know I will always love you. You have lost some of my trust but I will always be there for you in the time of need. I love you Rory." Lorelai explained.
"Thanks mom." Rory cried hugging her.
"No problem babe. Everything's going to work out in the end." Lorelai said kissing her forehead.
And together they stood up, holding hands and wiping each other's tears away, making their way back to the inn.
