Fast Car's

"Alright, people!" Mr. Alberts, the Physics teacher, exclaimed. "Today, I'm explaining your project. This is worth half your grade, so pay attention!"

Mr. Alberts, with his good looks and vibrant personality, would be much better suited to be a moddle than a Physics teacher. All the girls at the middle school thought he was drop dead hot. Many of them wished that he didn't have a steady girlfriend who he was planning to mary.

Alexis was not one of them. Sure, he was good looking, but he was a teacher! She didn't have time to fall in love with her Physics teacher. She needed good grades, and she also needed to help the Autobots.

"So, for your project," Mr. Alberts continued, glaring at one boy in the back. "You have to pick a car. You have to test it -- yes, I am aware that none of you can drive. Well, if I don't see it... you can't get caught, can you?" He winked at several of the students, who grinned in response.

Mr. Alberts was known as the 'easy teacher'. Most of his assignments were considered fun. All you really had to do to pass his class was do what he told you and pay attention. This included the project.

Alexis sighed. Cars. Where was she going to find a fast car?

Then, it dawned on her: Hot Shot! He would love it! All she had to do was ask him...

"So, you have a school assignment?" Hot Shot asked, watching Alexis interestedly. Alexis nodded. "And, you need me to... be a race car?"

"No, not a race car, exactly." Alexis explained. "I just need a fast car... and a way to prove that it would do well in a race. All I really have to do is take pictures... while driving."

Now, Hot Shot had no problems with his friend driving him... or pretending to drive. The problem was explaining this to Optimus Prime.

"You need Hot Shot to... what?" Optimus Prime asked, peering down at Alexis in slight confusion.

"All I need Hot Shot to do is be a car." Alexis sighed. This was turning out to be more trouble than it was worth... If it wasn't for the fact that she needed to pass Physics, she was sure that she wouldn't have asked Hot Shot. She could have just asked her dad, but... Hot Shot was a good friend. He would help. She hadn't planned on Optimus Prime not approving.

"As long as it doesn't interfere with the Minicon's... you can do it. Just, please, be careful!" Optimus told the two.

"Really?" Alexis asked, getting excited. "Thank you!"

Optimus smiled. "It's no problem, Alexis. I'm sure that Hot Shot is happy to help you."

Hot Shot nodded.

Alexis smiled. "Let's go!"

It had been fun. It had also given the two friends a chance to catch up. They had never been extremely close, but they were still friends. This project just made their friendship stronger.

"So, in conclusion, my father's sports car is a good car to race because of its speed, and easy turning ability. I also have pictures, so that you can see how I drove the car." Alexis finished her presentation, feeling proud of herself. Hot Shot had always been one of her friends, but this project just made her feel so much closer to him.

"Very good, very good!" Mr. Alberts exclaimed, smiling at her. "I haven't officially graded your paper yet, Alexis, but I can tell you that you did well!"

Alexis blushed. "Thank you, Mr. Alberts..." she muttered, feeling all eyes on her.

The class wound down, the other students presenting their findings. All in all, it had been a very rewarding project.
