Trying it from a kind of personal view point. I hope that will help my characters connect with you all :D Please review to tell me what I can improve on~

Chapter 1
The New Recruits

Screams and shouts were heard from around the large pit of fire wood and flames. The men and woman were laughing as they danced, sung and drank the night away. They were going to battle tomorrow, that's what the King's scouts stated. Some 'wise' people decided it would be fun to party the night away. This was all a certain new recruit's fault. Tyavi Brosca, a hyper dwarf. However he also had a partner in crime. An elf by the name of Azathal Maharial. The pair were currently dancing in the centre of the Grey Warden's camp site, singing drunkenly and laughing as loud as possible.

Safe to say that no one nearby will be getting any sleep tonight.

"Myra! Not joining in?"

Myra Amell yelped as a certain brunette spawned right in front of her, the elf laughing as she jumped back, twirling around before properly facing Myra again.

"Well?" Belladonna Tabris asked, eyes gleaming in curiosity and amusement.

Strange girl.

"I would rather be resting but since you fools are content in raising a racket I suppose I'll just have to continue reading." Myra sighed out distastefully at the noise.

"You need to have more fun My-" Belladonna tried, but was interrupting by a screeching noise.

"OI JACKEQUELINE!" Tyavi called, waving enthusiastically.

"Eh?" Came the intelligent response.

The other new dwarven recruit was Jackqueline Aeducan. A black haired dwarf with brown eyes who usually wore an old set of heavy armour, however right now she just wore a casual shirt and a pair of worn trousers. Myra watched as Tyavi, the long, brown haired dwarf grinned widely, wrapping his arm around her shoulders as he dragged her to the centre of the camp.

"Dance with us!"

"...I don't think now is the time for this..." Jackqueline stated blankly.

Finally, someone who makes sense!

"C'mon! Let's party men!" Tyavi shouted enthusiastically, swinging the other dwarf around by her waist.

"...Idiots..." Myra grumbled.

"They sure know how to party!" Belladonna laughed cheerfully, handing Myra a mug who stared at it oddly. "C'mon, give us a chance."

"Give you a chance?" Myra raised an eyebrow at the brunette.

Still a strange girl.

"You don't trust us yet. You feel like we're irresponsible children who will only be a hindrance during the fight tomorrow. But Myra, place some trust in us. We're friends now!" The elf grinned happily, turning away, heading towards the drunken field.

I don't trust anyone Belladonna. You people just need to deal with it.

Myra watched as Belladonna grabbed another elf's hands and began to drag him up from his place on a log. Serild Tabris, Belladonna's twin brother. Belladonna was laughing brightly as she shook her body about.

She's drunk isn't she?

"That's not even a form of dancing." Myra grumbled softly, allowing her sight to settle back on to her book.

"I think she's doing it out of fun. Not for being proper." A smooth voice smoke from above her.

"I cannot believe your condoning this Duncan. Is it truly wise to allow everyone to get drunk before the battle tomorrow?"

"Not everyone will be drunk." Myra's Commander chuckled lightly. "You aren't drinking."

That's not even a proper excuse you fool.

"Then you're leaving me alone to be skewered while you all are nursing your hangovers? Thanks. I truly appreciate it."

Well at least I earned a chuckle from him. Myra had thought sarcastically to herself, listening to the amused laugh.

"Anyway you won't be the only one. It seems Deagor isn't drinking either."

Myra glanced over to the log Serild had been occupying earlier. It turns out Deagor had been sitting next to him, gazing calmly into the fire.

I'm surprised Jackqueline's screaming hasn't brought him out of that daze yet.

"But Belladonna is correct. You need to trust your comrades." Duncan pointed out, his voice was soft and calm as he spoke. "We're all Grey Wardens. Our pasts do not matter anymore."

Why do I feel like he's treating me like a baby? Myra thought to herself.

It kinda ticked her off.

"Instead of treating me like a child how about you go and chat with your new recruits?" Myra scowled up at the man who chuckled fondly.

"You've already analysed them. I think they don't need to be treated like children."

"You're just drunk Duncan. I haven't done anything." Myra replied.

He's been laughing too much to be sober anyway.

"Just think about it Myra. Everyone here will fight and die for each othe-"

"To defeat the Darkspawn. I get it." Myra replied calmly, lifting up her mug. "To the violent murdering of the Darkspawn then."

The new recruits, now officially Wardens. They'll certainly will be interesting. After all they are the largest amount of recruits to have survived the Joining together.

There are three rogues altogether. Tyavi Brosca. Wielder of small blades and explosives. Azathal Mahariel. An archer that seems to have a lot of hidden weapons on him. Lastly Belladonna Tabris. A dual wielder with a tongue to go with it.

Two new warriors also arrived. Jackqueline Aeducan. Wields a large sword that was nearly the same height as her. Lastly Deagor Cousland. Who wields a sword and a shield.

And one mage. Serild Tabris. Apostate.

The six Wardens.

She heard a thump from beside her, a desperate groan reaching her ears as she finished off her drink.

"Too... much..." A familiar voice protested out, dropping his mug behind her as he groaned pitifully.

Hopefully they shall fair better than Alistair.
