The pain of losing someone you love is terrible, and no matter how you try, it never seems to go away. They say time is a great healer, but Gabrielle Delacour and Harry Potter beg to differ and say the pain never goes away; it has been seven years since they first felt their pain, and they were hurting just as much.
Gabrielle lost her older sister whom she adored, and no one would ever be able to replace her. Harry, on the other hand, had lost a best friend, who was basically a brother. Both these people were badly hurt by their loses, and that was what brought them together. Their hurt and desperate for someone to understand. And they were resisting the urge to grab a time-turner and go back to change it all, right from the beginning.
Time passed, and the two got married. Considering how much they had in common and how they seemed to just click, it surprised no one, even if Ginny felt a bit jealous about it. But she could see they loved each other, and they shared the everlasting pain of losing someone.
Ginny and so many others had lost family and were upset by it, but as far as she could tell, these two were the worst affected by it. There was nothing anyone could do to help them get better or move on, they just did not budge, unlike everyone else.

Some said they did not want to get over the pain, but Gabrielle knew that that was not the case. But no matter how hard she and Harry tried, they kept thinking about them every now and then and kept falling into the pain and begun to cry.
"It is horrible, what did we do to feel so guilty?" Harry asked one time, as they both had a communal crying session. He put it down to the fact they were both very guilty feeling people and struggled to get over it.
"I do not know, Harry, I just do not know," Gabrielle sobbed.
People around them did not know what to do, and it saddened them to watch their friends stay in depression and misery.
Until one day, Draco Malfoy in all his glory, pulled them aside one day to put them out of their misery. He had a family heirloom that was not much use to him, so he thought he would give it to Gabrielle and Harry.
"Take this," he said.
Gabrielle looked at what he was handing them: it was a Time Turner, and an old one at that. Considering it had Malfoy on it, Harry realised it must be a Malfoy heirloom which did make him wonder why Malfoy was giving it to them.
"Why?" Harry asked, holding Gabrielle tightly.
"We are all sick of you two drowning in self-pity, and pain that I want you to take this. It is a Time Turner that can take you back far enough you could save Ronald and Fleur," Malfoy said. Now that he was dating Ginny Weasley and now that he worked along side Harry, there was no way he could miss finding that out.
"Are you sure?" Gabrielle asked hopefully.
"Take it before I change my mind," Malfoy nodded.
"Alright, thank you," Harry said, gently taking it.
"No problem," was all Malfoy said. Then he continued on without looking back, leaving Gabrielle and Harry standing in the middle of Diagon Alley.
While Gabrielle celebrated about the fact they could have the chance to escape their pain, and it was in the palm of Harry's hand: a Time Turner, that was the key.
With Gabrielle by his side, Harry knew they would be impossible to defeat. He knew so much more now, and with her knowledge and help they could destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes much earlier. What they did in the in-between times there were not sure of, though.
