So, this really is just a gen fic, no sex. It's almost a drabble, but it's about 300 words to long to actually qualify. I just couldn't accept in the movie that Erik would really want Raven, even though I love her, I just ship Charles/Erik WAY too hard.

Erik was surprised, to say the least, when he walked into his room to see Raven lying on his bed, covered only by a sheet.

"Well this is a surprise," Erik said in a monotone.

"The nice kind?" Raven grinned. She was a silly little girl, lying there so unguardedly, looking up at him so hopefully.

"Leave, Raven. I want to go to sleep. Maybe when you're older."

He heard the shift of Raven's skin contorting and turning over before a deeper female voice filled the room. "How about now?"

"I prefer the real Raven," he told her, frowning slightly at her. Raven smirked coyly and turned back into her blonde, 18 year old self. "I said the real Raven." She looked confused for a moment before slowly, slower than before, as if she was ashamed, she shifted into her blue skinned, yellow eyed form. Erik sat on the bed beside her. "Perfection," he whispered. Raven looked like she was about to cry. Erik knew she had no idea what she was doing there, she was just confused. He knew what she had wanted, from the moment he walked in, and it wasn't the meaningless sex she was offering. She came to him because he understood her, even better than Hank did, much better than Charles ever could.

"Can you hand me my robe?" she asked softly, her voice broken.

Erik smiled softly and leaned towards her a bit. It was a dangerous game he was playing now, toeing the line. "Have you ever looked at a tiger and thought you ought to cover it up?"

Raven laughed softly. "Well, no, but-"

"You shouldn't have to hide, Raven. Not now, not ever. Don't be ashamed of who you are. You are perfect." Erik leaned forward and kissed Raven softly. He kissed her because it was what she needed, not because it was what he wanted. He cared deeply for Raven, but he knew he could never see her as anything more than Charles' little sister. She would have to prove herself before she could become more in his eyes. So for now he just kissed her, he kissed her with all the love and reassurance he could find within himself, and he tried to pour those feelings into Raven, because he knew she needed them more than he did.

Raven stood after they pulled away, completely unashamed of her body. A calm and knowing smile played at her lips. "You should go to Charles. He really needs you, Erik, even if you don't see it."

Erik nodded curtly, almost distracted as Raven left the room. Maybe he would go talk to Charles. They would probably all die tomorrow anyway. And for once, Erik thought he should do what he wanted, rather than what someone else needed.
