Chapter 1.
A/N this chapter is in Ginny's POV. Ok. Let's get on with the story....
It is cold and raining. I am on the way to herbology. Rain trickles in little droplets down my umbrella. My shoes make slight Sloshing sounds as I tread through the shallow puddles on the walkway. Oddly, I hear a voice softly calling my name. It was more of a hiss, actually, like a serpent..... 'Very odd' I think to myself. I start to walk faster. The hissing increases gradually. Suddenly, the wind picks up and my umbrella flies away as if it were a bird. I run to catch up with it, partly because of my fear of the voice, but it is too high up. I don't want to look back, for the voice has grown so loud that it is nearly a scream. I reach into my book bag for my wand. It isn't there. 'Oh god, I must've left it in the charms classroom!' I think frantically. I trip and skin my knees and right hand. I bite my lip. Should I look back or not? I decide to look back and see who the hissing voice belongs to. Slowly, fearfully, I turn around. Do you know what I saw? Nothing. That's right, absolutely nothing. So there I am, cold and wet. I take a closer look around. In my frantic flee, I had run into the forbidden forest. I think to myself, 'Great, now you're lost too???' At first, I didn't notice the growling noises behind me. After I checked quickly in my bag again to see if my wand was there or not (it wasn't there...), then I noticed the noise behind me and looked over my shoulder. There was a huge wolflike creature staring at me, baring its teeth and growling. A wave of fear ran through me. I got up and sprinted. I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't care. I heard barking and snarling as the creature ran after me. As I was running, I saw light ahead of me. I ran even faster and got out of the forest. Once again, I tripped and fell, making my knees and hand bleed even more. Also, as I was scrambling to get as far away from the forest possible, I twisted my ankle. I saw that the creature was still running, out of the forest and across the lawn, right towards me. I screamed, for the wolf was a mere five yards from getting me. Terrified, I attempted to run, but running brought a sharp, searing pain in my ankle so I limped. The main building of Hogwarts was about a hundred yards away. 'I'm not going to make it, I'm going to die!' i screamed inside my head. I closed my eyes, knowing it was useless trying to escape. The wolf caught up with me and sunk its huge teeth in my side. I screamed in pain as tears came down my cheeks. Everything was growing dimmer and dimmer as my eyes slowly started to close. Right before my eyes closed completely, I saw a stream of red light and the wolf yelped and released its hold of me. I then saw someone's face. They looked worried. I smiled, closed my eyes and then lost consciousness.
