So this one shot was inspired by a few writing prompts that I found on pinterest. it was originally about two people called Adalina Namar and Caleb Near. But when I read it again I was like HOLY SH*T THATS JUVIA! You can imagine my surprise I'm sure:) I decided to post it on here shortly after:)
It would mean a LOT to me if you could leave a review. Constructive criticism. encouragement. Just saying what you thought of it! It all means SO MUCH! They make my day;)
Theses are the writing prompts...
Write a scene where the characters last words are
I Find Peace in the Rain
The crying game
Write the saddest scene you can think of between a boy and a girl. Except its the first time they've met
~They sent me because I don't exist
~What if the story starts with 'The Bomb exploded'
Peace in the Rain
The bomb exploded. She was throw back by the force of the blast, she landed in a heap outside the now burning building. I failed. She thought. I was given one mission and I failed. Why was it that every time I try to make something right it all goes so wrong? She continued to think as rain pelted her from above. Rain. Its always raining when I'm near. Was it a sign? Was it trying to tell me something?
Her name was Juvia Loxar, and she was the rain women. She had been sent from the world of dreams. She was sent with one mission. Don't let Gray Fullbuster die. She would talk to Gray in his dreams. They had never met, but it might as well be that they had known each other there whole lives. She had guided him and told him what he must do. But now she was dying. She had failed. she raised her hand up to the sky.
"Why?" She whispered. "Why did you send me? Why did you choose me to try and save him?" She asked the heavens. But as hard as she listened, she heard no response. Just then someone ran over to her and knelt down next to her.
"No!" He yelled as he saw the light draining from her eyes.
"You," she whispered in disbelief.
"Yes," Gray whispered as a tear slid down his cheek to mix with the rain falling in torrents around them.
"Yes, I finally found you and now I'm losing you again.
"Don't cry," she said. "After all, they sent me because," she stopped as a cough racked her small form.
"Don't talk," he said trying to find the mane point of pain. She reached up and placed a hand on his arm.
"They sent me because I don't exist," She whispered.
"No, thats not true. You exist, you exist to me," he said as more tears fell. She reached higher and brushed them away.
"You know, its fitting that I die here."
"Your not going to die," he said as if trying to convince himself. She smiled softly.
"I've always found peace in the rain." Then she started to glow a faint blue, her skin seemed to become the rain, then it started to break into rain like drops with an unearthly glow to them, they slowly broke away and floated toward the sky.
"No!" he yelled and grabbed at them, but his hand passed right through them.
"No," he whispered and looked down at her, she was smiling up at him as she slowly continued to fade from this place. Particles continued to break away, leaving less and less behind. They looked like golden raindrops as they floated away toward the sky. One word seemed to echo around him as he knelt there.
"Goodbye" The word seemed to be coming from everywhere at once. He dropped to his hands and knees as the last of the only one who had ever helped him drifted away, tears streaming down his face.
"No…"
