The night had been a little long and Regina had just woken up from a dream that seemed all to real, about Emma leaving Storybrooke, leaving her.
She turned quickly to her lover and girlfriend slept to not find her there. Regina panicked and got out from the sheets in shock to not find her in the room. She threw on her black silk robe over her grey silk pajamas. She walked quickly out to the hallway to see Emma near the bottom of the steps in a shirt and boy shorts. Regina sighed with relief and walked softy and quietly down the steps to Emma.
Emma's knees were tucked close to her with her arms wrapped around them. She seemed so small. Her chin rested on her knees and she had a tired look along with confusion.
"Em? What are you doing out here?" Regina spoke quietly and softly, knowing the Henry was just upstairs asleep. A very light sleeper Henry is. She sat down next to the blonde and rested an arm around her shoulders and the other on her knee closest to her to hopefully comfort Emma.
"Do you remember what we talked about the other night?" Emma's chin was still on her knees as she spoke and looked forward at the wood flooring in front of her.
"Yes, the one about babies right?" Regina was curious as to what Emma was thinking.
"Yeah, and how to magical people can make a baby no matter what gender you are?
"Dear, what's wrong?" Regina now felt concerned for where Emma was going with this. Before Emma could or wanted to answer, Regina asked another question, "Are you thinking of having one? US having one?"
Emma finally turned to look at the brunette's honey brown eyes. Her look was surprising, sadness, and thoughtfulness all crammed together. "Yes I have thought about it. A lot babe." Regina wasn't concerned anymore. She wanted to know more from Emma with one look to her eyes. "If we were to have a baby together would it be a boy or a girl?"
Regina smiled and gave a little laugh. "I guess I left that part out of our conversation, huh? When a man and a woman have a magical baby the baby can be a boy or a girl. When two women have a magical bay it will always be a girl."
Emma didn't want to say anything but she smiled and looked at Regina with the most care and love a person can give in one look. "I love you, so much Regina." Emma moved her legs down and kissed her on the forehead.
"I love you as well my dear." Regina spoke like nothing could break this moment and nothing did. So happy and loving, it made Emma love her more. "Ok I think you need to back to bed now hon." Regina didn't let go though and Emma didn't get up.
"I didn't want you to wake up without me next to you babe." Regina looked at Emma as the blonde turned away and looked forward with a smile. "I um, didn't want to tell you this but I had to make sure I knew everything first."
"Really babe? What is it?" Emma looked into her girlfriend's eyes with a big smile warmly worn on her face, and she took Regina's hands into hers.
"Regina, I am pleased to announce, we're have a baby girl." REegina looked at Emma is disbelief.
"What? Like really like.."
"YES like!"
Oh my.. Oh my God EMMA! We're having a baby!" Regina clung to Emma's neck but let go quickly and kissed Emma. They stood up as they then broke apart Regina held Emma's arms as she calmed down. "We're going to have a little girl!" Regina knelt down on the steps and lifted Emma's shirt so she could see her stomach, and placed a kiss just above the blonde woman's belly button and held her lips there. "We're having a baby." The brunette whispered against soft skin as she held Emma's hips. Emma reached for the dark locks and soothed her soft hair.
"Yes we are having a baby girl, together."
