So this is just a short prologue that I did quickly. My OC character, Emma, is 5 and Klaus is 12 almost 13.
In the new world, there was a little girl. Her name was Emma. She had long brown hair down to her bum, pale skin, and bright emerald green eyes. Her family had moved to the land before she was even born, when her mother's witch friend, Esther, told her of a land without plague that she and her husband were leaving Europe for. Emma's mother and father, Alice and Isaac, left with them, though Alice and Esther had a fallen out a few years later.
The five year old brunnett girl was playing by herself in the woods one day, after wandering away from home. She soon came across a river and the thirsty girl decided to get a drink of water, not knowing the dangers of going so close to a fast flowing river. She puts her hands in the river and cupped a hand full of water but as she went to bring her hands to her mouth to drink she lost her balance and fell into the river.
Emma screamed as the river took her along with it down stream. The tides hit her chest heavily, knocking out her breath. "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP! HEL-HELP ME!" She screamed, as she struggled to stay above water. The river dragged Emma down again and this time she did not have enough strength in her little body to fight her way back to the top. She gasped for air, her lungs filling with water. Her arms were outstretched trying to reach the surface, but failing to do so. The last thing Emma saw was a young boy with curly blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes before closing her eyes and losing consciousness.
When Emma woke a few minutes later the first thing she saw was the same pair of blue eyes. A coughing and gaging Emma focused on just breathing slowly before blinking, her vision clearing. "Are you alright?" The blue eyed boy asked, concern written clearly on his face. Emma nodded her head slowly, before trying to sit up. The boy, who looked to be around 13, helped her up. "My name is Niklaus." He introduced himself.
"I'm Emma." She said, her voice hoarse. "Than-Thank you. For saving me." Niklaus smiled, showing his dimples. He's beautiful, Emma thought, blushing. Niklaus took notice to the redness in her cheeks at once.
"Not a problem. At least you're starting to get color back in your cheeks." He said, with a light smirk on his face, knowing the reason for her quick change in skin color, causing Emma to blush even more. "Come, I'll walk you home."
