Kim walked into her empty house and sighed. She walked into the kitchen and saw the cake she baked for herself, she put the candles in the cake, and lit them.
"Happy Birthday to me…" She said sadly and was about to blew out the candles when the phone rang
"Hello?"
"Happy Birthday Kimi" Jason said into the phone
"Hey Jase… you could've called all day… why wait until 7?"
"Well I didn't have you're surprise all day"
"I don't need anything"
"Sure you do… you need a man" Came Trini's voice
"I'm not having luck in that category… why call and torment me on my birthday and Valentine's Day on my luck of a love life?"
"Because it's valentine's day…" Jason said "and you need someone"
"I gave up that someone a while ago"
"At least you're friends still" Trini said
"I guess… he wasn't even in work today, to wish me a happy birthday"
"Maybe he was sick" Jason suggested
"I guess that's possible…" Kim said "Now if you excuse me I'm going to blow out the candles on my birthday cake… before I have a wax cake"
"Whatever Kimi… Happy Birthday and Valentine's Day I love you!" Jason said With Trini dittoing it
"You too, Bye" Kim hung up and walked back into the kitchen
She took a big breath and was just about to blow the candles out when a knock came at the door.
"Apparently I'm not suppose to make a birthday wish" Kim sighed getting up to answer the door
"Hey Beautiful" Tommy said smiling holding a teddy bear and flowers
"What's this?" Kim asked
"You're Valentines gift" He said "Maybe I should've asked you before to be my valentine"
"Maybe you should've" Kim said "But I thought we were just going to stay friends"
"Did you really think that was going to be possible?" He asked
"I was hoping it wouldn't" Kim said
Tommy walked into the kitchen got a vase and put the flowers in it. Then he saw the cake.
"Are you going to blow out the candles?"
"Well I was trying to, until the phone rang then a knock on the door"
"Well no one should be coming now… make a wish"
Kim shut her eyes and blew out the candles
"What did you wish?" Tommy asked
"I'm not telling you… or else it won't come true" Kim said
Tommy pulled her to him and kissed her forehead
"That's ok… I want you're wishes to come true" he said softly
"You just made one come true"
"I love you Kimberly"
"I love you too" Kim said looking at him
"Do you really want to take things slow?" Tommy asked seriously
"Depends on how fast you want to take it"
"How about…" He got on his knee "You be my Valentine every year for the rest of our lives?" He asked getting out a small velvet box and revealing a beautiful princess cut engagement ring
"I would love too" Kim said smiling kissing him
"Great" Tommy said "Now open you're gift"
"There's more?" Kim asked
"Yup"
Kim opened the card and read it
"Kim I love you…I seemed dead before I met you, just going with the whatever my parents said never choosing anything in my life, I was born the day you loved me, and my love for you will keep me alive, forever."
Kim got tears in her eyes
"Don't cry beautiful"
"I love you… always and forever" Kim said
"Forever… I kinda like the sound of that" Tommy said
He then leaned down and kissed her
